假假條 (JaJaTao) - 法利勝神經
Another amazing grunge or noise rock album from JaJaTao. Genuinely such a beautiful listen. This one is much less grunge - esc however. You can tell the band took a massive dive towards sludge metal on this release as the songs are much heavier and much more stretched out. The same heart and energy from their first record is still there however.
The vocalist sounds like he’s literally on the verge of tears or bursting through the speakers. There’s a variety of Chinese instruments that I have no familiarity with on this record, but they are perfectly incorporated into the overall sludge or noise rock sound. One of the best bands around ours out another 10/10 record surpriiiise surpriiise.

假假條 (JaJaTao) - 時代在召喚(The Rite of Spring
When I moved to China I was 18 and didn’t know anything about their music scene. Now I’d hardly consider myself an expert but I have some opinions. One is that Jajatao has revolutionized noise rock and grunge and should be the biggest band in the world. This album blew my mind on my first listen and I’ve been listening to it nonstop since. Genuinely one of the best records world wide to have come out during the 2010’s. If you haven’t heard of them, or if you don’t know anything about the Chinese scene, listen to this record and have your mind changed. Fixed even. 10/10 record.
