*sigh* Went out and got a gift card. Changed my DA username finally to my artist name so more stuff will come up SEO wise for me. Since after so many years and not using twitter or insta 'cause they're fucking pointless and dead and only care about themselves and promoting big names to get people on their platforms, the search results that come up under JaeHaruArt are still very few. Put a little extra on it so I could try running a YouTube promotion for one of my painting videos too, since YouTube keeps randomly selecting music or gaming videos and though I do those things I mainly do art. Wasn't expecting much back from it. I've run ads before on Facebook back in the day for my art page and as banners for my comic renting out spaces online, and they never do anything. Maybe 3 new people a lotta wasted money then a month later people leave anyway. Still I wanted to try with YouTube since it's so fucking money hungry and broken these days and no one is seeing shit. I've worked hard on my channel. I've worked hard on my content. There's no reason people who watch Speed Paints can't be watching mine. Anyway, YouTube made you go through Google Ad Sense and there's too much jargon around automatically being billed every month and consenting to that and consenting to paying outside the threshold and yikes. Fuck that. Never mind. Signing into a contract that's going to over charge me because I wanted my video to show up in recommended for a week for like 20 more people is fucking ridiculous. I'll pass after all. It still just sucks though.... I really wish there was anything fucking left to promote yourself these days... there really just isn't... : (

I've changed up the way I paint a bit and had to go in and make some edits to my custom skin tone swatch set so they didn't run into brightness/burnout and over-saturation issues. So here's a new sheet with all of them for anyone who wants it. You can get the actual photshop .aco file that has them all organized by list title, name, pale, light, medium and dark groups when you switch your view out of the default and into the "small list" mode, like I have mine in all of my videos to more easily find stuff, on my Patreon if you want. I just exported all of my swatches for Patreon again though so you'll have all the different shades of blacks, whites, metals, and golds I have saved in my swatch sets as well. Otherwise just eye-drop and save the ones you want from this sheet I guess. Idc. Enjoy.

Felt like redrawing an artwork I made in 2017. So here's this. I want to get better at faces, noses and eyes still... but at least I'm a bit better than I was in 2017... still... I've been extremely overcritical of everything I've been painting lately so I haven't been posting much... I've been starting a lot things but not finishing any of them... It was a lot easier comparing my art to that of real artists than to AI generations... they just look too good (monster hands aside)!
