Chapter 2: Royal by Blood

I have acknowledged the blessing that is of my being: I am not of this world. By birth I am born of flesh, but by baptism I am THE [princess] of THE [King] who breathes into us life. By my Father's name and blood, I have been set aside from those of flesh. 

This chapter is inspired from my own personal reflections. It is a bit of a short one (and fairly straight forward), but one that I would rather you be able to reflect on yourself. I can only say so much, but this chapter is all about what the above paragraph means to you, how YOU are royal by blood. Post in the YouWearTheCrown inbox to share your reflections/thoughts.

As princesses, we are set aside from the rest of the world. Yes, we are very much human and of the flesh, but by the blood that was spilled and by our heavenly father's name, our hearts and our souls are much greater than what this world can possibly muster. As royalty our blood is not categorized by letters, characters or DNA samples, but the blood running through our veins is that of which lies at the foot of His cross. He has opened the gates of the heavenly kingdom for those who choose and live in baptism.

Chapter 1: A Princess, Defined.

You’re probably asking yourself “how am I a princess?”. Before I get right into this shebang, let’s start with the basics:

WHAT is a Princess

HOW am I a Princess

The definition of a princess, based on dictionary.com, is a daughter of a king/queen or the “consort of a prince”. So for example, if you were to take Princess Kate, she is a princess because she is wed to a member of the royal family: Prince William.

First thing’s first: We are princesses, not of this earth, but of the heart & soul. This is possible through our Father and our Mother. Our Father being The One and Almighty & our Mother being the Immaculate Conception. King of Kings, Queen of All. By baptism, we are born into royalty & just like anyone in line for the throne, we must prove ourselves worthy.

We are also “consorts” of a prince. Here’s probably one of the most important characteristics that we hold as princesses: we are princesses because of ourprince. If we are to live our lives out as Christ has called us, and most importantly if we are going to live our lives as Princesses, we have to realize that in order to fit into these glass slippers we have to allow ourselves to be courted by Christ.

How are you a princess?

You are a princess because (as previously mentioned), by baptism you were called into the family with your Father, The King of Kings and your Mother, the Immaculate Heart.

You are a princess because you are wanted to be courted by the One who is most deserving of your heart. A prince, hidden behind tumblr posts of strange boys and dream world fantasies, is waiting patiently for you to simply turn your head so your eyes can meet. So that He can take care of you. So that He, and only He, can show you a love more deeper than you could have ever imagined.

So are you a princess?

If you can let Him show you the world, be a part of your world, answer thedreams your heart makes, make a princess out of you….

Then you’re on the right track.
