There are two flying creatures in my room: one very clearly a moth, a little guy, and the other imperceptible and zippy.
Only one may live.

So does all the fics in SINCERE EFFORT take place in the same universe? I know Moth and Civet are reader inserts but im already attached to them as characters and i def wouldn't mind seeing them on a mission together omg-
yes!!! :D everything in that series (along with Room Enough, Time Enough whenever i get back to it, but it’s not integral to anything atm) takes place in the same universe, aka with the itty bitty kitty committee
i’m honestly in the same boat, moth and civet started out as reader inserts but they have Absolutely escalated into characters and are gonna become very important to each other!! (during Natural Response, even!!!)
fsdkfj also i love getting asks about this, thank you so much??

Alumni Update: Mavis and Bea Patmore
As promised, I've got an update on the other two of the Patmore Four -- Mavis and Bea!  Here they are (pictured above) shortly before their adoption. Mavis is on top and Bea is on the bottom. Their mama, Parvaneh, sent us a nice long update with some sweet photos to share with us. Here goes: Wow, the girls are already a year and a half old! They still are just as sweet as the day that I first met them and their personalities have blossomed. They have been given different names, but I wanted to make sure I paid homage to their kitty committee names, too, and gave them little alter ego monikers. Bee became Dottie "BB Gun" St. Clair, and Mavis became Rosie "The Maverick" St. Clair. I chose the St. Clair name as it's a reference to a female mob boss and I just liked naming them after a powerful woman. They are still as cuddly as ever and love to crawl into your lap when you're watching a movie, or hanging out in the living room with friends. Rosie has a tendency to sleep right on my head and keep me company in the mornings, but is also the one who is very insistent about her morning dining schedule and will meow relentlessly and gently pat your face to make sure you can't sleep through it. Even though she is the most aggressive about her eating habits Rosie is significantly smaller than Dottie. Rosie has a fluffy coat that's not quite shorthair and not quite longhair, but she is very slight and petite under her extra fur. She is very deliberate and focused, a very elegant young cat. Dottie is muscular and a little round in the belly. She is very much a shorthaired cat and very excitable and vocal. You always know when Dottie enters a room because she announces herself with little purrs and chirps. She's extremely cute, but clumsy, and she loves to take laps around the house at all hours. These two have developed into quite the ferocious hunters and no spider or moth escapes them. They loooove feather toys and will jump several feet off the ground in an effort to catch them. We have to replace them very frequently as they chew them to shreds in moments once they catch them. Dottie is more of a catnip aficionado than her sister and will happily chew on her catnip carrots until she passes out in a blissful puddle. Even though they love the hunt, they are ultimately extremely social kitties and love people. They are great with children and immediately climb onto the laps of guests who happen to sit in a comfy looking position. Every person who hears us gushing about our amazing cats thinks we're exaggerating until they meet our two wonderful companions. They steal the hearts of everyone who meets them. I feel so lucky that we were able to take these two sweethearts home and have them be part of our lives. They enrich our days in an incalculable way.
Thank you so much for sharing your girls with us today, Parvaneh. Clearly, they are living the good life in your care! We're thrilled to know they bring you so much joy!   from The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/2017/08/alumni-update-mavis-and-bea-patmore.html

Zoubisou Has a Match for You!
Remember this cutie on the right? That's former foster kitten Zelda Lamm who now goes by Zoubisou (or Zoubi for short)  Brother Baxter is on the left. Lynn, her mama, sent a couple of pictures of her girl for me to share with you today. Look at this beauty!
And here's an update: Zoubisou is five years old now. That picture of her holding Baxter? Well, that was not affection, it was world domination. She pretty much likes to get her way and go first at everything, but she is a sharer. She will NOT take a toy away from India Rose. She’ll just wait- indignantly but willingly! She still copies India. If India takes a bath, Zoubi takes a bath. The same is true of eating, going to the pan, chirping at a moth or chasing a fly. She just assumes India knows best. She makes a great little sister cat. Alex took the black and white picture and he calls it her “yearbook picture”. The other was in one of the many tunnels located around the house. She was, of course, watching me vacuum. It is a skill she has yet to learn. She is still long legged, elegant, and inquisitive. We adore her and India does, too! What a wonderful day it was when we brought her into our home. Thanks so much for the cute pics and update, Lynn!  The "year book" photo reminds me so much of Charlene ---I've caught her in that same position many times! Maybe she taught it to Zoubi while she was here under our care! Zoubi might not like to share toys, but she does have a giving spirit and likes to help out homeless cat and kittens, so she's offering up a $500 matching donation challenge for us today. For every dollar we give, she'll be doing the same until we meet the $500 cap. The match ends at 7:00 PM PST, which gives us 12 hours get there. I know Sundays are kind of quiet around here, but we're hoping this generous cat will inspire you to help us out!   Maybe some of our former foster kitties would like Zoubi to match their dollars? To get your dollars doubled by Zoubi and make a tax-deductible donation, please visit our fundraising page. We're getting there!  Less than $8000 to go! Hooray!! from The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/2017/07/zoubisou-has-match-for-you.html
