I just finished the sumeru archon quest. I honestly enjoyed that way more than the inazuma archon quest

I can't for the life of me understand why#and I guess the oppressive atmosphere pre-archon quest completion was a little too heavy-handed#so much so that I never truly felt that it went away even after sakoku decree got lifted#is that Problematic™ for me to say?#eh who fucking knows#i sure as hell don't#but anyway#because of my impression of the inazuma archon quest#I held off on sumeru's for a while because I was afraid it was going to be similar#while I am annoyed at scaramouche reappearing (genuinely nothing could ever convince me to like him at this point)#it was overall very exciting. I literally played for two hours straight just to finish the entire last chapter in one sitting#I just couldn't put it down#not to be a negative nancy or anything#but now that I got to meet alhaitham#I don't really like him all that much#I've met guys like him irl. and had sucky experiences with them every single time#I also don't exactly like his voice either#it's nothing personal really — I love nilou but her jp voice kinda grinds my gears ngl#I have really weird hang-ups about people's voices#wonder if that counts as misophonia. idk. my research comes up inconclusive. or maybe I just suck at looking this up. anyway
