the thing about cole is that yes he is an annoying asshole but his character "arc" is way too funny for me to ever find him boring or forgettable like this man waltzes in thinking he's soooo bad ass with all his military training and he's gonna take down thee dean winchester. but then he gets royally punked out by demon dean. so he disappears, trains some more and learns everything he can about demons, comes back, and gets punked out AGAIN. by human dean this time. and then he almost dies from a fucking dehydration worm and we just never see him again after that. absolutely iconic
