i know someone said it but i hate the brain rotted marvel fans being like "i only like big movies ive never seen the godfather" like u realize different times had big movies right like marvel is gonna just be the 2020s big thing then in 20yrs people ur age are gonna be like "ugh cringe cant believe a sect of people thought this was cinema" and theyre gonna have their stupid annoying thing people think is good
like reservoir dogs is toted as a filmbro movie because its a QT pic and i avoided watching it because up until 2yrs ago i didnt like QT films beyond inglorious basterds and never gave them a shot, and it turns out its one of my favorite movies of all times because there's so much to it beyond what annoying macho dudes would have u believe.
like the godfather isnt a filmbro film its a fucking classic, ur not obligated to like things that are considered classics because some classics really suck, but others actually had a serious impact on film as a whole so like maybe dont comment on how superior you are for never seeing them when people who arent that filmbro type have watched them and extracted a great amount of meaning from them. like ur not intellectually superior for not wanting to challenge yourself with older filmography.
like i gotta be that guy and say that maybe if you exited your extremely small comfort zone now and then and looked at things that arent childrens cartoons, the latest billion dollar greenscreen project of the week, or YA novels as a 25+yr old adult you might have an actual like.......... developed sense taste for a person your age and have an opinion thats worth valuing
