The original front turn lamps were removed for the fairing install and are missing, the original headlamp assembly is intact. Comes with a Yamaha brand fairing/windscreen, fairing has some peeling paint and cracks. Also comes with the factory seat, seat in pictures is not original. All lights, horn, gauges, indicators, throttle, clutch, front brake, rear brake, shifter, throttle, electric start all work. Just recently restored to working order by a ASE master mechanic (the bike was sitting since 2001). This bike belongs to my father and he stopped riding it after he had hip surgery. Faye Toogood is a British artist and designer based in London whose body of works ranges from interiors, exhibitions and installations to fashion and furniture design. Faye graduated in art history and worked for many years as a stylist at The World of Interiors magazine until 2008, when she decided to start her own multidisciplinary practice.

Since 2015 the designer has created intriguing installations for London Design Festival, such as The Drawing Room and The Cloakroom. This year, Faye’s installation is called Trade Show.

Maybe the title was simply a very literal way to refer to what the artist proposes: she exchanged – ‘traded’ – one of her signature pieces (an aluminum version of the Spade Chair) for other 50 works of designers and artists, and put it on display – on ‘show’, thus – in the same venue where she presented her first furniture collection. I can’t help thinking, however, how far the exhibition is from what one would expect today a ‘trade show’ to be… Isn’t it an extremely subtle and elegant protest against how highly commercialized design fairs have become (as also questioned by WeVux in a previous post on Milan Design Week)?

Among the names involved in the show are Tom Dixon, Bethan Laura Wood and Max Lamb. Hato Press was responsible for the graphics.

Freelandbuck is an architecture office based in Los Angeles and founded in 2009 by David Freeland and Brennan Buck. In their work, Freelandbuck often plays with lines in perspective, bridging the gap between bi-dimensional drawings and 3D shapes.

‘Parallax Gap’ is their winning proposal for an installation at the ceiling of the Renwick Gallery, in Washington, open to the public on July 1st 2017. The intervention takes the form of materialized linework and redefines the space of the Grand Salon by hanging different layers of hollow line hatches, questioning the idea of the ceiling as an element of shelter and referencing to the illusion of depth present on Renaissance ceiling frescos.

‘Vanishing Point’ is a proposal for a temporary gathering pavilion that creates a dialogue with the iconic Flatiron Building in New York, by appropriating and distorting the strong lines of the building’s facades.
