12 December was het zo ver. De laatste lesdag. Een digitale toets en de presentatie van onze eindopdrachten. Superspannend natuurlijk! We zijn de vooropleiding begonnen met zes studenten en uiteindelijk zijn we met zijn drieen overgebleven. Alledrie hadden we onze theorietoets van de week ervoor goed gemaakt. En nu dan de laatste hobbel.

Alles gehaald 🙂 en de docent vond mijn serie erg goed en orgineel. Ik ben superblij dat ik het gehaald heb. Mijn startbewijs voor de fotoacademie. Of ik doorga weet ik nog niet zeker, maar de mogelijkheid is er nu in ieder geval.

Graag deel ik mijn serie ook met jullie.

IN MY JEANS Eindopdracht basisopleiding Fotoacademie Amsterdam van Monique Belier 12-12-2017

Empathie en Tolerantie zijn niet meer zo vanzelfsprekend in onze huidige maatschappij. Omdat ik hier iets mee wilde doen, bedacht ik “In My Jeans”

De uitdrukking “In andermans schoenen gaan staan” betekent: het lot van iemand anders ondergaan. Om dit wat minder zwaar en wat meer van nu te maken, heb ik vrienden en familie gevraagd om mijn jeans aan te passen in plaats van mijn schoenen.

Doordat het model werd afgeleid van de camera, door het aantrekken van mijn broek, kon ik fotograferen zonder het model aanwijzingen te geven. Hierdoor zijn mooie spontane beelden ontstaan.

De foto’s zijn gemaakt met natuurlijk licht, in mijn huiskamer met een Canon 80d en een 50mm lens. #inmyjeans

Post 5: Strategy

Torrid’s target market is the trendy plus size woman, ranging from sizes 10-30. The specific demographic of this consumer is that she is a female, sometimes not in the cisgender sense of the word; her typical age range is 25-40; and she is usually of lower to upper middle class income range. The intended psychographic of the Torrid customer is a working woman, who also loves to have fun, and is confident in her body, regardless of society’s expectations. She is trendy and into fashion. She values body positivity and lives a fast-paced lifestyle, so Torrid is meant to be her one-stop shop for all she needs.

The geographic market of the Torrid customer is limited mostly to North America, specifically the US. Torrid has a few locations in Canada and ships internationally from online, but the majority of its target market is in the US. Torrid does, however, engage in geographic segmentation for the allocating of its products. During different seasons, depending on the weather, certain products will be shipped to stores while other stores will not get those shipments because of necessity of the season or lack thereof.
