What are your top naruto fic recs? Do you have any fics that you think are really great?

Hmm this is made complicated by me forgetting the bookmark option even exists 95% of the time. not really my “top fics” at all, but here’s a variety of Naruto fics that I can remember in this moment and have enjoyed, sorted into the “itachi fics” section and the “not itachi fics” section:

The One Where Itachi and Deidara are Soulmates by fascinationex - Hands-down my favorite ItaDei fic. Incomplete. Also just read anything by fascinationex

Sehnsucht by Rheehemoth - A long Itachi/OC fic. I actually haven’t finished it, but I like that the OC has her own goals and hobbies, and also that Itachi isn’t some suave pick-up artist. Probably my favorite Itachi/OC fic I’ve read. Complete.

Sleepover (Inktober Day 5) by cherryberry12 - A comedic NSFW Itachi/Karin oneshot that’s basically them trying new kinky stuff and Itachi being.... bad at it LMAO

Third Time's the Charm by SundayMoon - An Itachi/Lee fic. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. It’s an “Itachi lives!” AU and it’s mostly just him doing cute shit with Sasuke/Sakura/Sarada or Lee around Konoha.

Yet, Mad I am Not by Erisah_Mae - Canon!Itachi wakes up in an AU where he didn’t murder his clan. I actually don’t remember much of what happens but I do remember having a good time. Complete, but if you want a happy ending, don’t read the last three lines.

The Body by Loudest_Voice - Literally just a description of an autopsy from Itachi’s POV. Better than a lot of similar ““horror”“ fics in that I’m pretty sure Loudest_Voice is an actual doctor, so it’s detailed, accurate, and isn’t written in the sort of edgy “isn’t this SPOOKY?” tone some writers fall into with similar concepts. I recommend the rest of this series too, but The Body works as a standalone.

Time Flows Like Ink by GwendolynStacy - An interesting twist on time-travel fix-its. In a fuinjutsu accident, Minato accidentally hurls himself forward in time and finds an unacceptable future. His time-travel seal is “unstable” so it randomly throws him back and forth between the past and the future. Has some cute kid stuff and cute MinaKushi moments. Complete.

Use a tissue when you wipe your nose by raebeme - Kakashi gets the flu immediately after the formation of Team 7, leaving them leaderless. Because they need a “captain” in order to pick up missions and make money, Sakura uses the power of understanding admin to make herself captain. This quickly spirals. This fic sets itself apart from some other BAMF!Sakura fics in that this Sakura has incredible feral energy. Incomplete.

Obito-Sensei by Ser Serendipity - AU where Kakashi dies at Kannabi bridge instead of Obito, and Obito becomes the sensei of Team 7. I was kind of dubious of if I would like this because I’m not a huge Obito fan, but it focuses pretty hard on Sakura and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Incomplete.

Sleep And Be Killed by Akatsuki's a bang - A “fell through a plot hole” teenaged OC ends up in the Akatsuki base every time she falls asleep somewhere that’s not her bed, and she can only go back to her own world if someone “kills” her. I haven’t read this in years but it’s open in one of my tabs to re-read LMAO. Fun. Complete.
