i'm so fucked up about aa1 actually. this rookie lawyer comes from nowhere, crushes the demon prosecutor's record on his second ever trial and gets the ceo of bluecorp, who has blackmailed and by extension caused the deaths of dozens of significant public figures, arrested for murder; defends a celebrity from murder, revealing a five year old blackmailing plot that involved a member of the mafia, who was the producer of one of the most popular child tv shows; gets the aforementioned demon prosecutor acquitted of murder and additionally solves the fifteen year old unsolved murder of gregory edgeworth, both of which lead to the conviction and arrest of manfred von karma, a world-renowned prosecutor with a forty year win streak, for multiple counts of murder. and THEN. he reveals that a two year old conviction and execution of a spree killer was unlawful because the prosecution (unknowingly) presented evidence falsified by the Chief of Police and the Chief Prosecutor, as well as revealing the chief of police's killing of both a prosecutor and a detective. all of that within SIX MONTHS.

that's FUCKING INSANE. you go through the rest of the games and you kind of forget how insane the first one is. no wonder his disbarment was the beginning of the dark age of law. that motherfucker GOT THE CHIEF OF POLICE ARRESTED FOUR YEARS AGO.
