I don't think social media causes depression, I think depression causes social media

#this is serious btw #im tired of studies that r like SOCIAL MEDIA CAUSES DEPRESSION when its probably the other way around #when youre depressed and physically exhausted from existing what you do is dick around on your phone #and ofc endless mindless doomscrolling will and does have an affect on your mental health #but i dont think its as cause -> effect as people think it is #¯\_(ツ)_/¯
