19. summer camp + 88. erotic dreams

ok ok so as a rule i don't do underage stuff, even though this screams 'sexual awakening' to me.....so to compromise my moral principles, anakin is an 18 yo camper and obi-wan is like the activities/waterfront director, and anakin has just the worst crush on him like....ever. his summers are basically full of pining after mr. kenobi even if he doesn't know what this is and what he's feeling until his first vague wet dream his last year as a camper.

that's definitely also his 'omg i like guys too and especially older guys and this makes so many things make sense.'

and anyway, he's absolutely the star camper who is good at soccer and swimming and fencing and archery etc etc and he wins a bunch of the official camp awards in the last week before the parents come to collect their kids, but on the very last night, there's the informal 'campers camp awards' which are just like for the senior campers (16-18), and are much more vulnerable like 'guy who definitely felt up the most girls behind the arts and crafts building' etc etc and anakin wins a bunch of those as well even though it's not true

and he's very distraught by it so he goes to mr kenobi because mr kenobi's cabin is always open for distressed campers, and even though it's the middle of the night, obi-wan listens and hums and nods in the right places

and anakin is like 'am i wrong or weird to like men, mr kenobi?'

and mr kenobi, who absolutely just thinks anakin means boys and not him specifically, is like 'no of course you're not.'

and anakin promptly climbs into his lap.

and of course obi-wan is appalled because this is his camper!! he separates from anakin as quickly as possible and tells him it is completely alright to like boys, his own age. very very heavy emphasis. not a member of the camp's staff.

instead of being completely disheartened, 18 yo anakin leaves camp that year with the absolute certainty that obi-wan kenobi kissed him back. for only a few seconds, sure, but he did. he did.

this just means that of course anakin is going to come back next year as a counselor. sure, most people take a break from camp in that summer between high school and college, but not anakin. he has a mission: seduce now-camp director Obi-Wan Kenobi.
