i was really enjoying cronenberg's the fly but seeing some gore only halfway through made me check the trigger list. and unfortunately it looks like this one ain't for me... once again it's my interest in horror (and ESPECIALLY in body horror) vs my gore sickness and the gore sickness is the house champion

#my stomach is already in my throat T_T #i'm really interested in this movie so maybe i'll watch over the course of several days... it's a shame #i keep having to break all that good tension movies build up. it's so well made. upsets me i have to break it to take it #it's like if someone made me a gorgeous design table. and im like the only way this fits in my car is if i saw it in 3.#i'll glue it back at home but yeah it's no gonna be the same after that #i'm a bit too responsive to be a good horror audience. the horror is real. i'm feeling it. i'm feeling sick. i am feeling fight or flight #on a level equivalent to a real life threatening situation. ok some dumb ideas for mac's new boyfriend johnny considering they are in a long distance relationship and possibly never seen each other:

mac cannot shut up about how handsome and amazing his internet boyfriend johnny is and nobody in the gang can stand him anymore. its all johnny this johnny that all the time. but they dont really care about it because they are already used to mac doing gay shit so they just decide to ignore him. the only person that is deeply bothered in a personal level is dennis, so he says "ok whatever if hes soooo good looking then show a pic of him" [note: hes trying really hard to not look jealous] and then mac goes "you asked for it!! its going to blow your mind" and then he shows a pic of frickin ryan reynolds. there is a moment of silence and the whole gang goes "dude thats ryan reynolds 🤨 you are being catfished by a weirdo using pics of ryan reynolds". mac [whos stupid and has never seen johnny in person] cannot process the idea of people lying on the internet and starts believing that he is actually dating ryan reynolds and ryan is just pretending to be someone else to avoid attention, so he becomes even more annoying about it because hes the secret lover of a famous actor

guess who got covid :( i was so proud of myself for avoiding it up until now as well :(
