yup! here so you don't forget it til your grave!! bloomic xyx and the song Courtside by Tim Atlas !!!!
Tysm!!!! Luckily i did not forget,,,, but i did have work hella this week so this is a little late 😭 but I've got the song on rn and 👀👀 here's what im thinking
So, xyx, not big on love, as we've learned, and if we go based off his route, boy does he fall HARD
Man is literally fighting his inner demons trying to deny feelings,, and you/reader is just like, oblivious cause there's a LOT goin on. You've got work, the server zine, random events here and there, but you /always/ make time to indulge xyx in video calls
He tries to learn about you in subtle ways, which he's very good at, lawyer and all, and you're not used to telling someone so much about yourself, and you're certainly not used to them being so interested in what you've got to say
And for this we will say that bloombot accidentally let some personal information slip past her filters, and it turns out, you/reader and xyx live in the same area
But rather than outright tell you how to meet up with him, xyx makes a bet
Who can find the other first? You've seen each other's faces, you've heard each other's voices, you know what his job is, and he knows some about yours as well
And you/reader take the bet, the cost of losing is one fancy dinner, and a chance to meet Cat
So, in your free time, you get out of the house,,you try looking up nearby law firms, and try to look at their staff pages, you look at those billboards that advertise help for accidents and other unfortunate events
Meanwhile, xyx does what he does best, he hits the books. He's researching the information on your vague company, easily finding the one that you mentioned a while ago over a vc
He goes through all the departments, taking time to make sure that there isnt any nonsense with the higher ups. He wants to know if this company that makes you work the longest hours is actually a good company and not some shithouse place yk
So then, when he finds you, he has to stop and question if he really wants to see this through, but he has been so over his head about you, like he has had dreams about you, he will get random thoughts while he is working about you, wondering how your day is going, wondering if you're working just as hard to find you as he is
So he works up the courage to go into your work, dressed in casual clothes, coffee in hand
And he greets you with the usual cheeky greeting of "hello little troll" and you're like ?! Who is speaking from behind my tall as stack of papers that i need to do, wait i know that voice,, xyx what the fuck why are you at my work, is thst coffee ???
And he would do that little smile that he gets and be all like, "guess who owes me dinner"
And ofc at the dinner it's pretty nice, and you guys are having a grand time, its hard to be awkard when xyx is just so smooth and charming
And a little ways through the dinner you guys get some drinks to go along with it, and like no one gets drunk or anything, just like i dunno a little tispy/buzzed and you/reader is just babbling about work and your interests and xyx is sitting there like ohmygodimactuallyinlove
And all he can think about is wanting to wake up with you each morning, by his side
And yeah,,, thats what i would write with xyx+courtside jdjeke i didnt wanna go on and on cause i def could omg

GHOA :  Looking for an RP FC!
Tumblr media
So I’m making this post to put my feelers out there for trying to find an RP Free Company on the Balmung server for my Xaela, Ghoa Mankhad!
I’ll spare you a giant info-dump and just sum her up as a traveling potion- and poison-maker who much prefers to spend her time exploring new places and attending whatever fun, flashy goings-on there are than actually plying her craft. Being newly arrived in Eorzea, a land rather foreign to even her well-traveled self, Ghoa’s finding herself surrounded by plenty of new people and places and things to do -- and loving every minute of it. If you’d like more detailed character info, you can check out her LFRP Thread and Character Wiki!
What sort of RP free company am I looking for, exactly? I’ll slap more details under a cut, but basically.. I’m looking for a group on the social, casual, entertainment side of things. I’m really interested in FCs that put on regular community events, and those who likewise enjoy attending other FCs’ events together.
Ultimately, what I would like the most is to become a part of the lovely Balmung event-going / hosting community again after taking a long break from the public eye, and I feel that one of the best ways to do that is to be part of and contribute to a group of people with similar goals!
  >> Details about the player, what I’m looking for, and what I offer below the cut! <<
Tumblr media
[ ABOUT THE PLAYER ]
Some of you likely remember me from my time playing Jaliqai Qulaan as the founder and (now former) leader of Gold & Glory Hunter’s Guild and the Bountiful Chest tavern. Sadly, a combination of real life eating up more and more of my time and hitting an RP writer’s block saw me stepping down from the role and taking a step back from the public eye and leading of events to focus on IRL and to find my inspiration to RP again.
After a few months of quiet, I’m happy to report that things have calmed down somewhat on the IRL front and that my RP inspiration is back with a vengeance! That said, now that I have the time and drive once again, I’m very excited about getting back into one of my favorite parts of this game -- being a part of a fun group and taking part in all that the wonderful, creative minds of Balmung have to offer to the rest of the server!
So with all that said, here’s a couple of pertinent facts about me:
I’m in the Central timezone and my availability is generally 5PM - 11PM CST during the week and 12PM - Whenever on weekends. However, I am also part of a raid static that meets Mondays (7-9PM), Thursdays (7:30-9:30), and Fridays (8-10PM).
I’m a very flexible RPer, both in terms of post length and genre! I can easily switch between Para RP and short form / one-liner RP depending on the situation. Likewise, with this character, Ghoa can easily slot into both casual / social type RP and heavier plot RP -- and I very much enjoy both sorts of genres!
I consider myself lore compliant but reasonably flexible. What this means is that I strive to stick to canon as much as possible, but I also like to elaborate (within reason) in the grey areas and blind spots. While I enjoy writing with those of similar tastes, I do NOT condone the shaming or witch hunting of people with different lore standards.
I’m sure there’s more I could write here, but I’ll cut it short! If you have any other questions for me, feel free to Tumblr IM me or add me on Discord (Jaliqai#1327) !
[ WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN AN FC ]
As mentioned in the initial blurb up top, I am looking for a group of like-minded roleplayers who enjoy both contributing to Balmung’s RP Event community as well as supporting other FCs and their own events! But of course, there’s a couple more things that I feel I need to specify in regards to what I am / am not looking for:
In regards to the type of FC, I’m pretty flexible! Taverns and entertainment groups are the most obvious choices given that I’m looking for community involvement. However, if your FC is neither of the above but can still give me that involvement I’m craving, then I’m very much open to hearing about it!
A dedicated FC story or plotline is optional! If your group doesn’t have a deeper plotline behind it, that makes no difference to me as long as it ticks the other boxes! Though I really do love myself some deep plot RP, I can find that for myself and on my own time at the end of the day!
I highly prefer an 18+ OOC FC. Rest assured that I’m not some lewd, crude beast! But I am an adult that sometimes has an adult sense of humor, and I just overall feel most comfortable playing with other adults.
I’d really like a group of people who enjoy each other’s company! What I mean is that I’d like an FC where people don’t just show up for events and then go radio silent after. Just as much as I miss being a part of Balmung’s event community at large, I miss being a part of a smaller FC community! So people that talk to each other and do stuff together -- whether that’s RP or PVE or whatever -- between events is important!
[ WHAT I CAN OFFER TO YOU ]
And finally, I should touch on what I can offer to you if I am permitted to join your FC!
I’m a very active player that logs in every day. More than that, though I can sometimes be shy at first while I’m feeling out a new environment, I very much like to talk with and do things -- RP, PVE, play other games, etc. -- with my FC mates.
I’m also a very laidback player. You won’t have to worry about me starting drama or rocking the boat or being a jerk to people. I’ve got my salt and my sore spots like every other human being, but I also know how to communicate and handle myself like a reasonable adult! And when I’m having a bad day, I know how to keep my mouth shut.
I want to engage and be an active contributor! Part of my desire to be a part of an FC again is specifically because I want to contribute to events! So if you’re looking for someone who will do her best to help out with events by playing staff and whatnot whenever she can, that’s me!
That said, I am NOT looking for officership anywhere! Though I can help play staff or give you whatever advice or opinions I can from the perspective of someone who has organized and hosted big events, I am very much NOT in the market for being a part of leadership or being in charge of organizing big events again. I’m happiest just being a normal member and helping where I can!

Virtual Private Networks - Points To Search For In A VPN Service
A VPN or Virtual Private Network is really a private network setup allowing distant access to a distant network. The most frequent software of VPNs is to allow individuals to wood into their organization network from home or still another remote place and conduct their tasks. This rapid guide will allow you to in knowledge the various facets of protocol design, VPN safety, network company outsourcing and technological standards.
Basically a VPN is an application of WAN or Large Region Network. The important thing feature of the VPN is the capacity to accessibility the desired network through public stations like the net rather than rely on private leased lines. VPNs allow limited usage of the network through the exact same wiring as your net connection, without diminishing basic security.
VPNs can be utilized for rural access for client associations, LAN to LAN inter-networking, and for managed accessibility inside an intranet. There are many network methods used in VPN developments (methods of authorization and encryption for safety purposes) such as for instance; PPTP, L2TP, IPsec, and SOCKS. The verification methods let VPN customers (remote portals) and servers (host portals) to correctly create the identification of customers on the network , where whilst the encryption standards allow possibly sensitive information to be hidden from the public.
With the growing acceptance of Wi-Fi networks , VPNs have been applied as a protection alternative to stop unauthorized usage.
fernsehen im ausland
VPNs are frequently useful for inter-networking. In other words a VPN can be used to bridge two split networks together, by channeling all traffic between two rural networks from one VPN machine to another.
An important drawback of using VPNs is security. VPNs need a thorough understanding of network protection, and needs cautious installation and checking to supply adequate information defense when directed by way of a public station like the internet.
Virtual Private Network is really a network inside a network. This is very favored by firms that have people functioning remotely. Basically what we have this is a usage of the network currently supplied by the internet. The web infrastructure may be used as the network for distant personnel to get into their corporate systems.
Corporate environments have a far larger requirement for limited security. This is attained by developing a VPN (virtual private network) on the top of normal net connection. This sort of relationship enables better safety and encryption. Just authenticated people may entry the corporate network and the data being shifted can not be intercepted.
So this VPN (virtual private network) relationship is being tell you the internet community network.
Two components are expected to make that scenario work. First, there needs to be a corporate host setup which includes the server VPN computer software mounted (and a good modem with a firewall). The following is always to have the customer VPN pc software fitted on the distant workers machines. After the client equipment is on the web, they would utilize the VPN customer application to talk to the corporate host VPN where authentication occurs. When the machine determines the connecting client as a valid unit, use of the network is granted. There after all information to/from the client to the machine is touring along that virtual private network and is protected by the excess layer of encryption and protection provided.
Finally, there could be a charge savings if determining whether a leased range or VPN is for you. Leased lines may increase in value on the basis of the geographical range between sites. A virtual private network doesn't and actually is more scalable. (This is a basic statement ONLY. It's best to consult with your communications broker prior to making this decision. A broker will have a way to offer much more info in comparison with speaking with a specific vendor)
VPN is surely a sensible option for organizations little and big that have rural personnel, need site-to-site accessibility with rural practices or protected dial-up connections.
This information is really a really normal overview. You need to use this just as a kick off point to also establish whether this type of technology is for you. Through your evaluation of the technology, you should consider what type of implementation your seeking to accomplish; distant entry, site-to-site, protected dial-up. Extra areas to analyze would be security, firewalls, encryption, machine form and IPSec (internet method safety protocol).
Let's talk about it at length only a little later. VPNs provide an even more effective form of security by often encrypting or encapsulating information for indication via an unsecured network. Both of these kinds of security-encryption and encapsulation-form the building blocks of virtual private networking. However, both security and encapsulation are generic terms that explain a purpose that may be executed by many specific technologies. To enhance the frustration, those two units of systems can be mixed in numerous implementation topologies. Hence, VPNs may differ generally from dealer to vendor.
You are able to opt for two types of VPN, Rural entry vpn and site to site vpn. In the event of a distant entry vpn, their staff is often working in locations beyond your office. Use computers at home, to get in touch onto company network around switch up phone/isd lines or over vast band too. While a niche site to site vpn offers protected relationship between locations over the start internet.
Some providers provide an extra layer of security at no additional cost to make sure that you are protected from harmful websites. The advanced safety, such as the CyberSec function, often runs internet addresses against intensive blocklists and safeguards the consumer from a number of internet threats, including phishing cons and viruses.
An offer blocker is still another wonderful feature provided by the very best virtual private network. Ads are hard enough to manage during a regular web program - you shouldn't have to manage them when attached to a VPN. Without any ads, websites will load far more quickly for you.
Which VPN service must you select? Lots of people consider NordVPN to be the very best virtual private network as it offers every one of the benefits mentioned previously: the CyberSec function, offer preventing, P2P help, and a no-logs policy. Join as much as 6 devices at a time.

How to Use Viral Marketing to Spread the Word About Your Business.
The concept behind Viral Marketing
word-of-mouth:
The concept of viral marketing is by no means new. Word-of-mouth marketing, viral’s forefather, has been around for ages. The principle behind word-of-mouth marketing is simple; use influencers to generate peer-to-peer product recommendations or buzz. Prior to the advent of the Internet, however, this form of marketing was too disjointed to effectively benefit most advertisers. The effect of word-of-mouth was largely contained to specific geographic areas simply due to the lack of widespread social networks. Word-of- mouth was generally limited by the ability of the influencer to physically speak to another prospective customer, hence the term “word-of-mouth”.
Enter the internet: The Internet has radically changed the concept of word-of-mouth, so much so that the term “viral marketing” was coined by venture capitalist Steve Jurvetson in 1997. The term was used to describe Hotmail’s email practice of appending advertising for themselves to outgoing mail from their users. The assumption is that if such an advertisement reaches a “susceptible” user, that user will become “infected” (i.e., sign up for an account) and can then go on to infect other susceptible users.
While email may have been the original catalyst; the advent of social networks, online communities and chat provide the ability to distribute information exponentially faster than ever before. Where word-of-mouth marketing could take weeks or months to reach a thousand people, viral marketing can reach hundreds of thousands or millions in a matter of days or hours. The spread of an effective viral marketing campaign is akin to an epidemic outbreak of a virus, limited only by the potency and relevance of the marketing message.
Viral marketing defined:
The Wikipedia defines viral marketing as “marketing techniques that seek to exploit pre-existing social networks to produce exponential increases in brand awareness, through viral processes similar to the spread of an epidemic. It is word-of-mouth delivered and enhanced online; it harnesses the network effect of the Internet and can be very useful in reaching a large number of people rapidly.”
Why viral marketing?!
The proliferation of marketing and advertising, coupled with the onslaught of millions of media channels in today’s world, has given cause for consumers to tune out and effectively avoid a great deal of traditional supplier driven messaging. The creation of technologies such as PVRs, satellite radio and Internet ad blocking software are driving a fundamental shift in the way the public consumes media and the advertising often tied to it. Television ads, radio spots, online ads and even emails are facing increasing competition for effectively capturing the viewer’s attention and provide positive ROI for the marketer.
This competition, coupled with the rising cost of media buys, has caused marketers to search for an alternative means to reach the customer. Viral marketing is an attractive solution because it utilizes the free endorsement of the individual rather than purchase of mass media to spread the word. Because the distribution model is free, viral can potentially be lower cost and more effective than traditional media.it’s the best solution for all start-ups and who want to become an entrepreneurs
the viral effect
More than 90% of consumers said they told at least one other person about a Web site when the original recommendation came from a friend, according to Jupiter Research.
viral marketing advantages
1. Cuts through the clutter of traditional advertising, allowing marketers to effectively reach the audience. 2. Doesn’t require a product with a wow factor in order to raise awareness, generate buzz, and kick-start peer-to-peer spread. Instead, the viral campaign’s communication agent is the element that needs a wow factor or element of interest. 2. Unlike traditional advertising viral is not an interruptive technique. Instead, viral campaigns work the Internet to deliver exposure via peer-to-peer endorsement. Viral campaigns, whether ultimately liked or disliked, are often welcomed by the receiver. The focus is on campaigns with material that consumers want to spend time interacting with and spreading proactively.
viral marketing disadvantages
Viral marketing, like all marketing is hit or miss. However, viral marketing by nature is often more risky or controversial than traditional marketing. If done improperly viral marketing can backfire and create negative buzz.
The Marketing Mix:
Viral marketing is by no means a substitute for a comprehensive and diversified marketing strategy and marketing objectives. In employing viral marketing to generate peer-to- peer endorsement, brands have also learned that the technique should not be considered as a standalone miracle worker.
James Kydd, Brand Director for Virgin Mobile who just launched the 11th release in their successful series of viral marketing campaigns, states, “viral marketing is best used not as a one-off tactical end in itself, but as an integrated strategic part of the overall marketing mix. It is a means to an end whereby it not only generates buzz, but also provides ongoing, quantifiable brand benefits, such as increased awareness, peer-to-peer endorsement and ultimately more sales.”
Common Viral Marketing Messaging:
While the messaging and strategy ranges radically from campaign to campaign, most successful campaigns contain some commonly used approaches. These approaches are often used in combination to maximize the viral effect of a campaign.
free products or services
Many viral marketing programs utilize free products or services to spark interest. Giving away low-cost items such as t-shirts can often lead to the sale of much higher cost items. Marketers often use low cost items as a method of collecting consumer data and building a database of potential customers that are already familiar with the brand.
compelling content
From hilarious to raunchy to controversial good content and concepts can often make or break a viral campaign. Creating quality content can often be more expensive than simply offering a free product, however the results are often better. The general rule of thumb is that the content must be compelling, it must evoke a response on an emotional level from the person viewing it. This fact alone has allowed many smaller brands to capitalize on content based viral campaigns. Traditionally larger brands are more reserved and risk adverse to the possibility of negative reaction.
exclusivity
This form of messaging is designed to appeal to our natural tendency to desire things we can’t normally have. This messaging includes invitations to join V.I.P clubs, access to products or services before they are released to the public and the ability to choose the fate of others within a peer group. While this tactic can be extremely successful, there is a built in cap to its success. If the offer spreads too wide it will loose its exclusive appeal.
get paid
Rewards and financial incentives often play a role in viral referral campaigns. Marketers can incent users to pass along a message in exchange for compensation ranging from points, special offers and in some cases cash.
Making it Viral user considerations
Successful viral campaigns are easily spread. When creating a campaign marketers should evaluate how people will communicate the message or campaign to others. Marketers should ask themselves the following questions when developing a viral strategy: • Does the content require special plug-ins? • Will an attached file in email be too big? • Does the Web site require broadband? • Is the URL easy to remember? • Is the referral mechanism easy to use? • Is the barrier to entry too high? The easier a campaign can spread the more successful it can ultimately be. A large majority of campaigns miss the mark because they fail to take this into consideration.
campaign seeding
“Seeding” the original message is a key component of a viral campaign. Seeding is the act of planting the campaign with the initial group who will then go on to spread the campaign to others. The Internet provides a wide array of options for seeding, including: • Email • Online Forums (Google groups) • Social Networks (Google+, Facebook.com) • IM (AIM, ICQ, MSN, Google) • Blogs • Podcasts When determining where to seed it is important that marketers consider the audience you are seeding for. If a campaign is skewed towards a certain audience marketers should make sure they seed towards that audience. Failure to due so may kill a campaign before it ever gets off the ground.
leverage existing media buys
Marketers should leverage existing media buys by incorporating the promotion of the viral campaign. This can range from a simple reference at the end of a commercial or in print to a fully integrated approach using mass media to directly promote the viral activity.
ability to scale
The goal of a viral campaign is explosive reach and participation. Marketers should be adequately prepared to meet the needs of participants in the event that the campaign is successful. Server space, bandwidth, support staff, fulfillment and stocking should be taken into consideration well in advance of campaign launch. The marketer should have the ability to capitalize on the full success of the campaign.
