it was 12 am when you heard tapping coming from the other side of your window. you immediately walk over to the source of the noise, not even bothering to hesitate considering there was only one person in the world who would bother you at a time like this. and when you whip open the curtains, you're greeted by the familiar sight of your boyfriend waving at you.
knowing him and his reputation, you weren't even surprised anymore when he began showing up late at night after getting into trouble around the city. you'd think that this would be a red flag, but after dating him for a few months now and seeing the way he looks at you and only you, you knew he wasn't that bad.
"what are you doing here, yeonjun," you ask as you open the window. you roll your eyes a little, a smile tugging at the corner of your lips. a smile that doesn't go unnoticed by the boy climbing through to your room.
"don't act like you don't like it," yeonjun teases as he wraps his arms around you, "can't i just visit my lover?"
yeonjun pulls you closer to him, wanting you to hug him back. and you oblige as you rest your head against his chest. the faint smell of cigarettes fills the room.
"you smell gross," you complain, to which your boyfriend responds with a small chuckle.
he rests his head on top of yours and rubs the small of your back. "do you wanna go on a drive?" he suddenly asks, pulling away to look at you. from your window, you could see his car parked across the street. and while normally you wouldn't be the type to sneak out, you felt you were being tempted by the kind smile he reserved only for you.
so you find yourself nodding your head and letting him drag you out the window and towards his car. when you get buckled in, you turn to him and ask, "where are we going?"
he shrugs in response as he starts the car and sets off down the street. "it's a surprise," he says with a smile as he reaches over to grab your hand.
you watch through the window as you drive by different houses and to a large hill with yeonjun watching periodically between you and the road. and when you arrive on top of a cliff, the view of the city within your sights, his attention is now entirely trained on you. he watches as you take in the way you could see the entirety of the city and the people in it.
he then gently turns your head to look at him. "do you like it?" he asks softly, his eyes looking into yours. you wouldn't have believed it if someone had told you a few months ago that you'd be sitting in a car with the most notorious troublemaker in your school, and much less that he'd be looking at you with such loving eyes.
but here you were.
"i love it," you tell him, a smile spreading across your face.
"and i love you," he mumbles as he leans in, pressing his lips against yours for a small kiss. and when he pulls away, you're both staring at each other with goofy smiles and red cheeks. and you could tell by the way he leans in again, leaving little kisses all over your face, that this night would be the first of many.

it was almost midnight, according to your phone that was blowing up from the messages your friends were leaving you. you weren't sure what they were talking about. it could've been about the party last night or your plans to hang out next week. or maybe they were all wondering where you were at 11:49 PM. as you stare at the never-ending notifications that kept popping up, a hand reaches from the side and turns it off.
"you've been staring at your phone for like five minutes. can you focus on me now?"
you look to the source of the voice and are greeted by the sight of your boyfriend, innocently smiling at you.
"my bad," you reply with a sheepish grin, "you have my full attention now."
"i should've had your attention from the start," yeonjun pouts, acting upset while his hand reaches for yours, a way of letting you know that he wasn't really upset.
you roll your eyes at your boyfriend's childish antics, intertwining your hand with his.
"as i was saying before," he says with an excited smile creeping its way onto his face, "can you put on another song for me?"
it was at that moment when you realized that the long list of taylor swift songs yeonjun had put on finally ended. it was his go-to playlist that he put on when you two went on drives together. and with you preferring to stay inside during the hot summer days, the only way yeonjun could convince you to go out most of the time was through late night drives that took your mind off things.
"fine, but if you ask me to put on 'you belong with me' again for the hundredth time, i'm getting out of this car," you say as you grab his phone to put on another song.
"do you not like when i serenade you?" he asks, acting hurt once again as he pouts at you.
"why don't you try a different song," you recommend as you put on another romance song, watching attentively as the other began warming up.
"watch out y/n," he says, gripping the wheel tighter in determination, "you're gonna fall for me even more after this."
you giggle as you watch yeonjun clear his throat, ready for the song to start. you knew that he'd go all out for this like he always did. and you also knew that you'd probably end up singing another taylor swift song together next, but you didn't mind if it meant more time with him. but honestly, you didn't really mind anything as long as it had to do with yeonjun.
"can you serenade me with 'kiss me through the phone' next."
"i can't believe your definition of romance includes soulja boy."

chae bae !! ok so i remember how we had a convo a while back abt which members best fit the isekau au & i want to know what your thoughts on an isekai au with prince hoon who absolutely despises mc but falls in love with her after she accidentally saves his life 🤭 maybe they're both from nearby kingdoms & have been bethrothed to marry since before they were even born. as both were expected to marry, it was no wonder that they grew up in close proximity, often butting heads. sunghoon had always hated how competitive mc was; consistently participating in his favorite hobbies or trying to one up him. but recently she's been acting completely out of character & he can't help but find himself both suspicious and increasingly intrigued by her actions. after she saves him from a surprise attack, he realizes that he no longer finds her presence repulsive, but rather heart-fluttering instead.

okay but like sunghoon fits the idea of a cold prince SO WELL like it was made for him wth?? like he's sort of always glaring at mc and doesn't like her at all, but after getting isekaied, he finally spends time getting to know her and talk to her which makes him fall for her <3 ok ok so like i imagine he and mc were always like rivals as a kid bc there was like no reason for them not to be? like they're from different kingdoms, they both want to be first in sports (like fencing or smth), they wanna be student president, they wanna be the first in the school academic wise, etc etc. the passion hoon and mc both have for being the best was so intense as a kid that they thought they were rivals and hated each other, but after mc saved hoon and he's like sort of in debt to her and they begin talking, hoon realizes that there's no real reason for them to hate each other. they're bound to get married so why don't they both be first place? rather, he likes the way the mc thinks and admires her for being so strong. and he realizes mc's passion was never a bad thing and he takes it upon himself to change the relationship between them. but, as a bonus, mc just wants to stay away from sunghoon who's known to hate her. mc just wants to live their life and meanwhile hoon is trailing after them 😭😭 I LOVE THIS SM WTH?? WE GOTTA WRITE THIS ONE BAE
