😂 for the writer's ask game

Hi Faith,

Thanks for the ask here's a snippet from "Double Byler snowed in during a blizzard" fic for Jancy week!

“We could play DnD” Will offers hopefully. “No” she and Jonathan chorus. “Oh come on” Mike pleads. “I am not wasting my entire day playing dungeons and dragons” Nancy protests. “That’s not-” “You spent six hours setting up last time” Jonathan points out.   “Yea well-” “My character died in thirty minutes” he reminds them. “Well I’m not playing Scrabble” Mike complains.  “Why not?” she contends, crossing her arms. “Because you two cheat that’s why” he accuses. “We do not!” Jonathan exclaims. “You played Demogorgon last time” Will recalls, rolling his eyes. “So that counts for DnD but not for scrabble?” Nancy argues. “Yes” Will and Mike agree.  “Fine, what about Monopoly?” she suggests.  “NO” Will and Jonathan shout.  She shoots a look to her husband, and he glares back sternly. Like somehow what happened last time was her fault. She was an innocent bystander, all she did was buy up the railways. How was she supposed to know Mike would get so angry he'd flip over the board? Jonathan clears his throat, and his look changes to ‘don’t even’ and she resigns that she’s losing this fight.  Which is how the four of them end up bundled up around the kitchen table playing Candyland.
