accidentally read a codywan modern au today and now i have a desperate need for a fic set anywhere but nz where the clones are all just random kiwis who inexplicably and hilariously know each other from somewhere. two degrees of separation at best. this is never explained.

#oh do u know cody?#cody fox and wolffe and all of them went flatting together at victoria uni #cody did polsci and he moved overseas to get away from his old dumbass classmates popping up in the news #wolffe is a farmer's kid from gore and everyone rags on him for his accent #which none of the non-kiwi characters can tell apart from the others at all #rex is cody's distant cousin from tauranga who also went to vic #and everyone who heard his last name was like #he moves overseas to get away from it and ends up in the same fuckin city/town somehow #fox is from christchurch and every time someone asks him the school question he gives a different answer straightfaced #kix went to otago uni and got top marks in the med school #but he also got interviewed hungover one day after a particularly legendary street party and ended up on the six pm news #john campbell was there #nobody will let him live it down #starwars #if i knew anything about places that werent nz i would write this #fox claims he went to rangi ruru first and they all buy it #except for wolffe who did postgrad at lincoln uni and is 90% sure he's fulla shit #but only bc he knows a guy who genuinely did go to rangiruru and they'd never heard of him
