I'm very confused as to why the fandom portrays Phoenix Wright as this "sunshine boy" in fanworks when the Phoenix Wright I know from the games is kind of a douche lmao
#he's a loveable ass but he's still an ass#his inner monologue is so cruel at times even to the people he loves that I'm honestly baffled on where “he's a sunshine boy” comes from#the man has joked his accused friends of being the actual murderer more than once; his sense of humor is unhinged 😭#im at the end of the 2nd game but from what i could see; Phoenix is more of a jerk with a heart of gold more than anything else#i love him dearly since he would do anything for his friends but he's honestly kind of a dick; all things considering#he's really not your typical protagonist who is naive and a ball of sunshine#he's more of someone who would do something out of spite and feral energy just to prove a point#idk maybe my opinions will change as i continue watching the games' playthrough#ace attorney#other#personal
