Why do Europeans get so mad when their diaspora in America want to embrace their heritage. Like I kind of understand when people just call themselves polish or Irish for example which is why I've added the American suffix but otherwise otherwise I really don't understand why they get so heated

#idk ig its bc im from a diaspora/immagrant heavy area so i dont??? really get it???#like little italy for example. a lot of younfer the people there now have probably never been to italy but you can tell theyre in touch #that and the polish side of my family didnt get here that long ago in the grand scheme of things so idk #just call myself polish american and hope no one attacks me
