today i found a shiny eevee and accidentally killed it and then the game autosaved before i could reload my save. great experience 10/10 would recommend.
#puppy rambles#i think i can get one again. mostly just hard cuz i don't have the shiny charm or any herba mystica to make sparkling power sandwiches with#one of the five random shinies i've found ever#alongside a shiny bellsprout in let's go which probably had boosted chances cuz i was like just chaining to get a shiny magikarp#a shiny paras i just randomly found in legends arceus. wouldn't have caught it#if it wasn't for paras fucking attacking on SIGHT in pla#a shiny eevee in pla which i failed </3 still upset about that#and a shiny wooper i caught during the wooper community day in pokemon go. i named her strawberry and i love her#i've literally only ever had one successful shiny hunt and it was in the easiest game to hunt in (let's go)#wish i had one of those shiny stories like “i found a shiny as a kid and didn't know what they were so i killed it”#but i think i kinda just always knew. and also i'm extremely unlucky#not sure how i never got a random shiny until legends arceus thinking about it???#i've basically only played the games after they changed the rate to 1/4k#which isn't that much better but i feel like you almost definitely encounter over 4000 pokemon during a playthrough#esp given having to grind but granted you don't really have to do that anymore cuz of forced exp share and getting exp from catching pokemon#and wow i'm rambling-
