Request from @bleakoutlo to draw Ralsei weaving a scarf; I had to watch a few videos to understand how weaving worked in order to draw him doing this, which ended up being a really nice way to pass the time during the inclement weather today :D drawing the loom was a ton of fun too once I started to understand how it worked, so I really liked working on this one. Thank you for the request!

a lot of rain.

my window is leaking because a part of it isn't properly insulated or shut. i'm just putting duct tape and a towel to remedy it. i can't wait to leave this place, this apartment is horrible and old. i've lived here for SO long and maybe a new house might help my mood maybe.

glad i'm not going to work for the next 3 days, but i know that paycheck is going to be thin. but can't do much about it at this point. just waiting for my trip to salem to come along. it's been one of the things i've been looking forward to, besides that i don't have much to look forward to besides like going to school in spring and maybe buying more stuff for my job.

glad my parents are happy for me though. i told both of them my schooling stuff was sorted out for the semester and they congratulated me. both of them were super insistent on me getting it done as i should've done a while ago.

and i have to change the towel on my window.

and i just saw a newscast on my town where there is a traffic light down, knowing exactly where it is. it's not even like 30 minutes from my house. it's only going to get worse from here, and hopefully by the time i wake up tomorrow, it'll be done and over with.

but like i was saying, my bf is asleep surprisingly since he cannot sleep with lights on. bitey is also sleeping too, little boy gets so anxious during a storm because of the noises. but the boys have been put to sleep.

the lights only flickered once tonight and i did see a firetruck come into the neighborhood. a couple of cop cars but i don't understand why ANYONE is out here. specially if outside is whipping wind and trees and shit and also flood warnings? i keep hoping and PRAYING my lights don't go out since my house has a tendency to get hot and humid really quick.

i was hoping to have homemade hot pot tomorrow (technically today since i'm still up) since me and the bf are off work. i got some miso soup base, nori sheets and some tofu; reminds me alot of my vegetarian days. maybe we will do a hot pot? dunno. restaurant hot pot is better than homemade though. specially if it's a tap to order place with a screen but as long as they have alot of food and a good amount of meats and veggies, yum.

i don't know how these news reporters or weather reporters do it, to either be up all night, repeating the same info over and over OR to be literally in the storm with whipping winds and to be slapped in the face with the rain. props to them, braver than the troops. apparently still a cat 1 hurricane, which i still don't know what it means, i'm guessing it's the lowest type of hurricane level, and i think it goes up to 7? which is terrifying because if this is JUST a 1, imagine how a 7 or, much less, a 4 is! i've lived in the same place for YEARS and it's never been this bad? i think- i literally just noticed my roof leaking. okay i'm leaving for now.
