#i would assume marius has asked these questions on his psychoanalysis but that would require self reflection on some of the later ones

can brian feel bad for his actions on ejm. because what if it doesnt change WHAT he believes is morally correct. it just changes whether or not he is willing to disregard his morals for something if the end is "good" enough. his morals still exist, they are just not something he is obligated to follow to get to his end goal. so on ejm if he does something against his morals even though he will 100% go through with it and not regret it because it was "justified". but will he feel bad. like if he lies on ejm will his morals twist up his metal lined chest for doing something WRONG, a slithering snake come to whisper its wrongwrongwrong before choking out on the end goal. eyes are on the prize here. a little lie cant hurt. but even though he feels justified his morals still probably stand. the method wasnt ideal but the only thing that needs to be ideal is the ending. and on that, does he still find method where he won't need to compromise whatever loose morals he still attains. does he find ways to reach his end goal without telling a lie. how are his morals. how are the mechanisms morals in general. they can recognize what they do is wrong, in some ways. they just dont C A R E anymore. and after so long of not giving a fuck whats moral and right so long as its FUN. new fresh exciting anything to break up the monotony of eternity. and on that matter after so long not bothering with it how warped is it to become. what do they cling on to what do they toss out what isnt bothered with what is normalized even if its not their typical style because the other mechs do it how far do you bother not shooting the others when they break a moral you have somehow clung to how important would it have to be to risk spending eternity alonealonealone for it
