I am what is best described as a "tomboy" and y'all are out here making me defend girlie shit

#truly we will not have full equality of the sexes until women cast off their chains and stop putting goop on their face and liking pink#idk man like i get having that stuff forced upon you as a matter of course sucks#i have been there so many times#but the problem is the forcing#wear goop dont wear goop wear pink dont wear pink#it shouldnt matter your gender you should be free to do what you want#and yeah capitalism means that make up companies are incentivized to make you feel compelled#to put goop on your face#and boy oh boy is it frustrating that theyre seizing on the decoupling of face goop from gender to sell more face goop#to more people#but the face goop in and of itself is not evil#the capitalist incentive to sell shit is baked into every industry#you dont think power tool and fitness companies dont make men feel compelled to buy their shit?#just to prove their manhood?#almost like what you do or dont consume is merely a superficial signifier and will not bring you self fulfillment#nor will it help you forge meaningful relationships#i wonder if there was a movie recently released thst tackles this them 🤔#im drawing a blank there
