Au idea appeared

Inspiration came from a random fic i read on ao3 with a similar idea that I spun to be my own thing. Wish I could find it but I've lost the thing

Concept: quackity is a witch/wizard/magic bitch in a semi-modern magic bitch world. Wilbur is a demon - a high-ranking one, son of the angel of death [phil is a major demon, not actually an angel]. Wilbur tries tricking Q with a [probably rigged] gambling game where the stakes are souls. Q wins, and now he owns wilburs soul.

Plot: they don't know what to do with this arrangement, but Q does not let wilbur leave [bc scary demon, not a good idea] and makes him stay. Having his soul means Q can command him and such. Shenanigans ensue. Q drags wilbur to his magic college, and wilbur makes trouble. They start off wary and hateful of each other, but the bickering turns affectionate, and they start to get along. Q doesn't have a lot of magic abilities, so wilbur's pure magic strength is of use. Wilbur likes the break from responsibilities and the fact that Q is not scared of him - and treats him kindly. Despite the fact he literally, like, owns Wilbur. Eventually, Phil gets worried about wilbur and goes to look for him, bringing his wrath with him. He finds wilbur in Qs town and thinks Q forced his son into giving his soul, he's angy. He attacks Q, which makes Wilbur angry, and they fight. Wilbur makes Phil leave and then slowly heals Q. This is where the *romance* comes in, and they confess very emotionally. Phil comes back to reconcile, and he n wilbur reach a compromise. Then its happy ever after from there, maybe tommy pops up and causes problems. It's a lighthearted au, very comedy based.
