Thinking about the cosmic truth, and how Sonic and Tails essentially grew up together, they know each other in and out and trust with their very lives, so even if there's a disagreement or argument between the two, they know each other's intentions, they know the deeper meaning behind their opinions and stances and in the end can always work it out one way or another

But Nine and Sonic didnt.

They don't know each other at all and at worst, the need is superficial. The assumptions of other's wants completely missed the mark which is why the single argument they had ended up tearing them appart so much and if Nine doesn't get a sufficient vibe check soon enough, they're doomed. Which would go against the laws of the universe, so that can't happen!!!
