#n#i read wake the bones in April but it was my only book that month! i didn’t realize it was YA before picking it up#I enjoyed the concept a lot and the protagonist but found the execution hmmmm#last to vanish is so fun! sometimes I just need to read an entertaining mystery my brain wants nothing else#good rich people.. oh! i loved this authors debut so I was hopeful but the ending of this one was so scattered and confusing#I enjoyed some bits quite a lot to the point of feeling annoyed they weren’t part of a better book#loved LOVED nettle & bone. so lovely#a bit much was very heavy..a lot. i didn’t like it didn’t dislike it but I do find the tone wasn’t really for me#I’m not big on the like. short novel of a young twenty something ruminating about her life the entirety#but I did read it because she is losing her close friend and felt like a grim need to finish it#cancer content warning for that one.. death cw and hospitals cw and abuse talk cw#Olga dies dreaming ..
