sunset curve was actually double trouble, formed by Julie, Flynn, Willie and Carrie. They die in 1995 before they can play the Orpheum.

Luke and Reggie are friends in the future and find out abt Sunset Curve together.

Carrie is Bobby's mom. Bobby used to be friends w Luke and Reggie but they split up.

Emily died just a year before and she also didn't approved Luke's pursue in music, that's why he can't play, but he's also failing his classes bc he can't bring his focus to that.

Rose is alive and old, and her and Ray aren't living on that same house anymore, but their son Carlos, still lives there and rents the studio for Luke and Reggie (and Bobby when they were friends)

Willie is a drummer and gets run over by a cute blond skater who also has anxiety, after finding out they can be seen when playing with Luke.

Julie finds out Carrie stole her songs and made a career out of that, but changed her style and name, presenting as Dirty Candi. and her son, Bobby, is following on her footsteps, but back in a rocker way, as Trevor Wilson.

When they seek revenge, Willie gets help from his new friend Alex, who takes them to the Hollywood Ghost Club, to meet the ghost who can help them.

The Hollywood Ghost Club is run by Nick.

The episode ends when Reggie wakes up, it was all a really weird dream.

Hey Critters! My name is Rose (they/them pronouns), and this is my Critical Role sideblog.

About me: I'm an lgbtq+ artist with too much free time, but not the functioning brain cells to use it properly. I like to draw/paint, worldbuild, tend to my OCs, daydream to music, all that good stuff. Occasionally I also write, conlang (badly), play videogames, text rp w/friends, and/or whatever other stuff my messy brain decides I'm supposed to be doing today (...while giving only half the motivation necessary for me to actually do or complete any of that 'stuff'). Most of the time I'm nocturnal, especially when it comes to catching CR3 episodes as they air, but my sleep schedule still flips around quite a lot so that might differ from day to day.

When did I start watching?

I caught the first half of C3E1 as it aired, then had to stop watching and stopped for a while. A couple months later I binged that and all the other episodes that had aired since then.

What campaigns/Series have I watched?

Finished or up-to-date: > I watch Critical Role C3 as it airs > I watch 4-Sided Dive as it airs > I watched EXU:Calamity as it aired > I watched EXU:Kymal as it aired Work in Progress: >I started watching Campaign 1's original Briarwood Arc, as I cannot watch TLOVM due to the visual violence that I can't stomach. However I have yet to finish it oops- > I have attempted Campaign 2 several times and it didn't work out as I couldn't get past Episode 3 - until now. As of writing, I'm at C2E53. I'm slowing down again but I'm doing my best to continue on.

Current favorite player characters?

I have got to give top spot to Lord Eshteross in C3. Imahara Joe and Captain Xandis are also high up, I like Milo, and in terms of C2 I like Bryce and, well, who doesn't enjoy Pumat (plural)

Favorite characters to draw or paint?

Ashton, hands down. I mean, FCG is also really fun, and I havent rlly gotten to draw a lot of characters from CR other than Ashton and FCG, but like. come on. How can you not love drawing the nonbinary punk rock. How can you not enjoy painting their colorful gem and crystal hair and golden cracks and funky eyes and- Anyway that's my introduction post! I’d love to meet some fellow critters - especially newbies that love the bells hells as well, seeing as I’m a bit anxious in new fandoms and therefore more comfy with people who are also new to everything. Still - feel free to say hi whether new or old fan of cr! :]

Ok I realize we're collectively freaking out to some extent about Caleb actively seeking out physical contact from Beau instead of like defaulting to Frumpkin as usual and her responding to it but can we also talk about THIS

LOOK AT THIS SHIT!!! This happens right before Caleb does the grabbing-Beau's-shoulder thing and if I knew how to gif it or get a video clip of it I would, because god Beau touches his shoulder so softly. Like Beau from what we've seen is also not someone who tends to use physical contact as a way to comfort people emotionally--she's more attuned to other people's feelings than a lot of people (even herself) give her credit for, but a lot of the time she doesn't know how to respond to someone else's emotions to make them feel better so she tends to default to either physical contact in the form of small but rough punches or awkward words. Remember how awkward she was giving Caleb that hug after they made up for that whole bowl fiasco? Beau is not a person who tends to use physical contact in this way, but here she's downright gentle. She reads how hes feeling and how scared he is to talk about this and she just places her hand on his shoulder and gives him a little verbal prompt of reassurance and you can see him respond to it--it's very soon after this that he does the frumpkin-vision shoulder grab to her, almost like this gave him permission to look for that physical representation of emotional support from her.

And then later on in this talk when Beau is basically explaining to him that they're in this no matter what because they care about him, there's this little pause and she just says, kinda softly, "Don't run." And it just feels so vulnerable for her like Beau is not always good at expressing it in an understandable way when people are important to her but this whole conversation has been her telling Caleb "We care about you," and this little bit specifically is her saying "I want you here." I'm just so fricking emotional about these two like they're both so unused to having friends and being friends, and Beau's natural defense mechanism to prevent herself from being hurt is to preemptively "be an asshole" and push people away, but through this whole conversation she's been making such an effort to keep Caleb, to make sure that this weird friendship they've developed and this strange little group they've all fallen into stays intact and to show him support and reassurance so he understands that they care about him. And her willingness to take these steps and is so good, her ability to allow herself to be open and to express the fact that she cares about people is growing so much and she's learning how to not only make but also how to keep friends and I'm so proud of her.

I havent seen that part of the ep only your reactions/replies and im so excited to see it because cad's responses in the past have such big "my truth is objective truth" vibes but im realizing now its also (when it comes to the nein at least) the occasionally misguided "heres how we can fix your problem" friend response and it is FASCINATING to me cuz i think there are so many interesting causes and implications of this for cad

But mostly i think its such an interesting character choice because for people who react like this its such a hard step to go "okay i dont need to fix the problem, this person doesnt need my opinion rn i just need to sit and support them and listen" which the rest of the nein are much better at at times but not cad really, i dont think (admittedly my memory is shite). And for a high wisdom dude he really sounds like a dummy here.

To me this is so indicative of someone clamoring for a sense of control and order when he has none, especially with the forest at the last site and his reaction to it. It makes a lot of sense to me that cad, throwing tact aside and even decency to an extent, leaps onto this new problem almost as a distraction and as a way of taking control over something you "know" how to deal with because you cant or wont acknowledge your own issues. I think the forest definitely has a big role to play in this.

I also really hope we get more caleb/cad interactions in the future because they both deal with grief and loss in such interesting ways that will definitely clash but be really great to watch.

In fact i feel like until now theyve barely interacted one on one and on the base level get along well but are also two to bury down their feelings and it would be interesting if they were also the two to make each other kinda... explode!

Yes, yes, yes! I’m also extremely curious how Caleb and Caduceus will handle their different approaches to grief in the future. To me Caduceus is the personification of the “If you want my advice-” “NO!” interaction, except that nobody ever says ‘no’ and if he feels even the slightest push-back he drops you immediately (he did so with Nott, more or less, who he quickly decided was beyond his understanding and thus beyond his interest). I’m curious whether he will decide that Caleb is beyond saving once he realizes that his words of wisdom fall on deaf ears. 

(sorry if you get this ask more than once, but my wifi is garbage so i dont think it went through last time) i havent watched spn in forever, so my memory isnt that great (and it's also not great in general but anyways) but now with ur au im thinking about how like. the main spn guys got dubbed "team free will" right? and im thinking about how much that applies to molly... he wants his newfound freedom & the ability to choose who he wants to be

;_______; ah... ive decided that the tomb takers are angels (and theyre ones who want to kickstart the apocalypse). molly was a seraph whose role was to train and fight and find new methods to combat hell etc (bloodhunter magic) and his whole existence he’s just been training, training, training

and then he comes down to earth and... oh! oh, it’s ugly and beautiful and different all over. color that’s too dull and too saturated - nothing as perfect and pristine as heaven. and he adores it. he’s still tugged between his duties to heaven and his duty to beau&caleb and his desire to be a tourist, but as time goes on he spends more and more time planetside. just doing whatever.

then, of course, his memories start to go. and beau’s like “hey dude. it’s okay. just keep pursuing happiness. you don’t need your family anyway. they’re all assholes. just be yourself.” and then caleb adds (because he knows that molly has never been Alone) “and you can make your own family. you just have to choose.” and molly grins, and hugs them both to him very tightly.

of course that moment is eventually realized to be the moment the first bit of down fell from molly’s wings... but at that moment, it was good, it was comforting, and even as the guilt wracks beau and caleb for facilitating the first step to falling, molly tells them to never ever regret it because he refuses to.

Oh boy! Well...

1). Right now, while I’ve blasted out a bunch of smaller Critical Role pieces, they were mostly procrastination to put off really starting in on what may well become my next long fic, which I’ve titled ‘Songbird’. It’s Molly-centric, and well, he’s going to have a rough time of things. I’ve come to the realization as I plot it out that this is going to be a alternate timeline/AU to the canon-verse, in that it’s what would have happened if Molly had been taken instead of Fjord, Jester, and Yasha (though I don’t know that it will have been the Shepherds who did it). I have a pretty extensive outline so far, and the words are coming, if slowly, so it may take awhile, but I think I can do it. I’m still trying to decide if I want it to be part of my series, Along the Way, and I’m leaning towards yes, but we’ll see.

2). I had an idea for another CR fic where Caleb has to encounter part of his past, but I’ve yet to get very far on developing it out into an outline. I’m not sure how it would end, which is maybe what I have to figure out first.

3). There are a few things I’ve written that I’m quite fond of, but right now, the ones that stand out most to me are both from the Voltron fandom. I was incredibly proud of the fill I did for the permanent injury square on the birthday whump bingo thing I did last year. I wasn’t sure I could write permanent injury, and wasn’t very sure of myself in writing Pidge, but was thrilled with how it came out, and I think it was one of my favorite pieces of the whole challenge. The other one I really like is So He Won’t Break. That was the first piece I ever did that was multichaptered without being standalone stories, longer than 8k words, and made me realize I could write longer things if I wanted to. It was pretty great, and was almost freeing in a way. Word count doesn’t matter as much to me anymore because of that, which is nice.
