It may end up being an impossible feat for me because i tend to play in a neutral good sort of way, but I really hope that on my first playthrough of BG3 I'll be able to successfully befriend all of the Early Access companions and not have them leave me cause they hate my decisions. I'm attached to all of them.

WHO DO YOU DREAM OF
The dagger drips with blood, hot liquid spilling over her hand and pooling around her naked feet. Two eyes meet in shock, both of them unbelieving of the handle in Penelope’s hand, and the blade in Melanctha’s abdomen. A strangled cry erupts from Melanctha’s throat as her hands wrap around Penelope’s, who pushes them away as she drags the dagger upwards until Melcantha falls to her feet, clothes stained crimson.

Here are some of my WIP Tavs:
Soluwae, a Lolthsworn Drow cleric. I've spoken about her a bit before; she's the leader of a fringe Lolth cult that exists in the Feydark. (Spoiler - she will eventually wiggle out of Lolth's stranglehold and reclass as an Open Hand monk.)
Ardent, fiend warlock pacted to Glasya, Princess of the Nine Hells (daughter of Asmodeus) and Lord of Malbolge. Classic story of a warlock hopelessly in love with her patron, patron only sees warlock as a tool, etc. This isn't Ardent's natural appearance; she was born with reddish copper skin, black horns, and glowing red eyes. Upon accepting the pact, Glasya changed Ardent's appearance to her liking. (Ardent is an Asmodeus tiefling, so this was basically Glasya going, "Sorry, dad, this one's mine.") Ardent has a snake familiar; I like to imagine that in a tabletop setting the snake turns into her preferred weapon, a scourge.
Ilenri, a Lythari barbarian-cleric of Selûne. (Wolfheart, of course.) Her clan/pack is very reclusive by design, located somewhere in the region where the Silver Marches meet the Spine of the World. Ilenri serves as a sort of "head cleric" or spiritual guide to the clan, which worships an earlier version of Selune. (Some say more primitive; they would say more true-to-form.) (Since obviously there is no Lythari race in the game, I'll be playing her as a Wood Elf)
Also cackling rn because I just realized they are all lesbians lmao I did not purposefully group them together for that reason, I swear

I'm gonna be a hater for a moment and say that I wish they hadn't made it so a "good" PC could recruit Minthara by knocking her out. Having recruited her on my "evil" playthrough, she's one of the best written characters in the game (when her dialogues actually trigger) and her VA's performance is fantastic. I'm not alone in having said the evil route is pretty bare bones relative to the good choices, and Minthara was one of the few things it had going for it. And I do want more people to experience that!
But you can do that by just. Thinking up an evil PC. Dark Urge is already pretty well set up for this if you're not great at conceptualizing original characters. The evil route is again already gutted, and this just makes the gameplay even more unbalanced. Your actions should have consequences - hence why raiding the grove has Karlach and Wyll leave your party. That's great, I love that moral fortitude on their part! And similarly, siding against Minthara locked you out of having her as a companion.
I know fully that this does not matter, and that other people are approaching the game differently. Hell, I'll probably knock Minthara out to recruit her on my next playthrough because I've adored having her around. (Though how I'll manage to gain approval with her as a goody two shoes, I don't know. The worldviews are pretty diametrically opposed.) But I think that it was a reasonable and well thought out decision to keep Minthara locked to that one choice at the onset. It didn't need to change. And playing as a morally grey or evil character, in a game whose moral greyness was already sparse, suffers more for it.

I seem to have reloaded into a strange alternate reality where Astarion is the only member of the party who can pass nature checks despite supposedly being allergic to any nature less contained than a city park.
Or maybe he just has an interest in the Underdark and/or its flora, who knows.

So I'm fighting Yurgir in the Temple of Shar. My paladin (who is crushing hard on Minthara, this is relevant) gets to 0 HP. Karlach: *tries to throw the paladin a health potion but invisible Yurgir blocks it* Minthara: Invisible, hm? *fires acid arrow in Yurgir's last known vicinity, killing him and my paladin* Karlach: No! *tries to pick up my paladin but she's too heavy* Minthara: I'll help *loots everything on my paladin down to her smallclothes* There you go. Karlach: Thanks??? *picks up my paladin and hightails it to camp to have Withers revive her*

i'm a little disappointed with the latest patch update tbh. yeah, they added some cool stuff like new kisses for a few characters (sad they didn't add one for gale tho) and all but the thing im most disappointed by? minthara's romance is STILL bugged. i've been doing an evil durge playthrough and i'm in act 3. there was a scene at the beginning of act 3 where she asks to see in your mind to see what you think of her and there's an option to think of her as a lover. of course, since i'm trying to romance her, i choose it and she's all happy or whatever and she will acknowledge our relationship to the drow twins (by telling me she'll kill me if i sleep with them lol) and withers mentioned my having a bosom companion but there is no option for me to talk to her about our relationship or kiss her at all. i'm so sad about it because i really like minthara. in the patch notes they said, "kissing minthara can now sometimes have an additional ramification" but i can't even kiss her to see it anyway 😭 larian please let me kiss my wife !!
