and for the record since i feel like this might get confusing otherwise, I'm gonna be defaulting to F:NV Avery for the time being and foreseeable future. I've been really enjoying the rewrite. Core things about him, personality traits, morals, favorite snack foods etc, are unchanged but some story and design elements might shift around. Still same ol' Avery at the end of the day. FO:4 flavor Avery isn't so much nixed as he is shelved.

#yall who've been around for a while know my main two modes of Avery are Fallout and my original universe #i like to throw him into most sci-fi settings but those two configurations are my favorites #anyway #effectively what happened was I started a FNV AU just for funsies #and realized i REALLY enjoyed what I could do with his character in that setting #primarily b/c F:NV is a much better playground to write an original story in without completely upheaving the lore #i enjoy fo4 but ultimately i had re-written it so thoroughly that it wasnt even the same narrative #i got really hellbent on trying to make fo4's story good and fixing major holes in the lore/worldbuilding #but i like that fnv basically hands me all these toys to play with that dont need fixing #i am in the sandbox i am not renovating the sandbox #and jack's courier [wes] is such a fucking good courier six #their dynamic together makes me neurotic #avery
