#i love all interpretations tbh#but Mizu is obviously not cis#and the showrunners even were pretty clear about that#they didn't agree one way or another about a label but they DID say mizu's gender is mizu#and honestly i think trying to slap a label on mizu defeats the point of the narrative and their character arc#mizu's relationship with their gender is SO complex#and affected by so many things#it is all entwined and wrapped up with their relationship with their mixed heritage as well#and the show handles it beautifully#i genuinely don't understand how tf you come out of that show going 'mizu is cis' haha#anyway#that's my 2 cents#that no one asked for#blue eye samurai#obligatory: terfs fuck off this post isn't for you
