Sometimes I remember that time I said I hated gym class in ninth grade and my teacher was Big Offended because she overheard me say that and thought it appropriate to snap 'then why are you in this class?' only to be immediately shut down when I reminded her ninth grade gym class is a requirement to get your high school degree lmao

#winters ramblings #predictably i didnt get a response she walked away #like wtf why are you even offended that i didnt like a class thats humiliating to anyone who isnt already athletic #like sorry all the jocks were there and theyd always treat my inability to play sports like a personal offense against them #and also i fucking hate sports playing OR watching i dont like games at all even if they arent sports #i find them boring and mindnumbing and people take it all way too fucking seriously for something that doesnt mean anything #basically sports and gym were nothing but stress and failure but sure act like an ass because a 14 year old doesnt like your class #and then do so in a way that ignores how high school degree requirements work lmao like wtf ekse would i be doing there??#i never did a gym class again and honestly im mad i never learned anything in gym regardless #its allegedly to teach exercise habits but i never got taught shit except how to play volleyball like thats a life skill i cant do without #the fitness ckassthat showed up after i left seemed useful because it was ALL learning how to work out correctly #and the teacher apparently wasnt a dick but gym is public humiliation and should be thrown out #replace it with real fitness classes and stop making gym just jocks who are good at sports and maybe kids like me wont hate it 🤷🏻‍♀️
