Also, yes, I did spend some time grinding in Dangan Academy again, but like. It's frustrating that I keep having to redo the character affection trips each reboot because I don't have the stuff necessary to build the final Monokuma back-up. So I put a bunch of time and effort into one person and then have to redo all of that because I can't finish the thing to save it.

That's FRUSTRATING.

#musings #bandit liveblogs #bandit liveblogs danganronpa #to be fair - if i hadn't already maxed out their report cards i could be using this time to do those instead #but the thing is that like #i as a player shouldn't be punished for having already completed those pre-dangan academy #ESPECIALLY when completing those gives useful options in the class trials #like - there's clear incentive to finish those before you end the main game especially if you aren't good at the class trial stuff #so it feels a bit like getting punished for prioritizing finishing those in the main game #instead of doing them in the post game bonus content #and i really don't like that #because like - i enjoy taking the characters on the trips and seeing which response fit them best #and the trigger happy heart stuff may have the WEIRDEST music in the game #but i like getting the characters' inner thoughts!#(or have for the two i've gotten that with)#it just makes what already feels like a grind feel even more like a grind #the character trip affection stuff should roll over with the new game plus stuff too #otherwise it's grinding to max out levels and then doing that same grinding over and over again #to max those affection trip things again to get the opportunity to have them save on the 51st #/and even then they'll only save if i put the right answer/#like #this is actually despair-inducing for me #more than the main game was #because it becomes real monotonous and boring real quick
