Alan frowns thoughtfully at the question.

“I would be lying if I said I didn’t,” she says finally. “Doma is more my home than the Steppes, and it will always be important to me. I worry about them all still, the children and Hien-dono and Yugiri-dono, everyone at the Shazenkai and the rest of the Enclave...I doubt I ever won’t worry.” Not until the empire is no longer a threat, definitively speaking, once and for all. “But...”

She shrugs, smiling a little; it isn’t a sad smile, but it’s not quite a happy one, either. “But more than anything else, as much as I miss Doma, the Scions are my home, more so even than anywhere else. So...even if I do miss it, I’m happy here.”

She sighs, though. “I think it will...it won’t be as it was. It can’t be. But with Hien-dono and everyone, it will be strong again. Like a vase or jar repaired. Not quite the same, and scarred, but made beautiful again in its own way. That’s the most anyone can hope and ask for.”

To say the letter came as a surprise would be an understatement - Stephanivien was accustomed to getting letters of commission from the Temple Knights, letters requesting munitions for outpost, even letters from Haurchefant... but letters from his machinists abroad were unexpected; to think that, in all of their journeys, they might have time to sit down and pen a letter for him!And such a heartfelt letter, it took his breath away. He read it several times, standing transfixed in the middle of the manufactory, until Joye came to ask whether he was alright -And yes, yes of course he was; and there was work to be done; he tucked the letter safely away, to be replied to later... or perhaps he’d simply greet Vincent with an overly-emotional hug when next their paths crossed.Either way.

“Now, let me consider this for a moment. When I was a child, I wanted nothing more than to see what was on every corner of my father’s maps, and especially those areas marked as uncharted. And given my ventures into the Diadem... yes. Yes it absolutely did come true, and I could not be more pleased with the fact that I am doing exactly what I wanted to do with my life from childhood!”

16.) Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?

“Why, happiness,of course. Success can only be truly measured by how well one is able to enjoy it!”

5.) On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

“A compass my brother made for me many yeas ago, a list of products most sought after, timetables for Diadem ventures... and if I remember to stop by Cloudtop, a few of those catsfoot chews the Vanu Vanu make.Have you tried them? They’re wonderful!”

Interesting question. I’d have to say Sarai is more attracted to soft, plush textures. Soft hair or fur to run her fingers through, or a nice, warm fluffy blanket. She enjoys nuzzling and cuddling into people (if the relationship allows it), as well as a fabulous nest of pillows and blankets. The feel of soft, luxurious fabrics on her skin is also a favorite - like silks and cashmere, and she loves indulging that when she’s shopping or investigating new fashions. She’s a gentle soul at heart, so I suppose that would reflect in her choice of textures.

Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

𝓡𝓪𝓬𝓮 :

Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓼 :

Rangers- Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter’s dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger’s Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

I’ll be honest. I’m sad I didn’t get Joye, but I was sure as hell hyped for Hilda.

I adore Hilda, and one of the things I’ve always wanted was to see Stephanivien and Hilda interacting - so I’m definitely thrilled I got that. But like. Joye tho. :c (She was off kicking ass and taking names, though, and it’s implied she gets to come home again and go right back to being a badass, so I’ll take it.)
