for when you wake up!! i've only been here for hsr, and your ocs are genshin expys! so.. can i ask for lore crumbs? about any of them, really, but how did you adapt the stories for hsr and which bits did you have to change? are there any core traits or themes they've kept with them?

HELLO IM RESPONDING TO THIS LATE BUT

i actually have WIP profiles for the og genshin versions of them:

I've changed quite a bit of their lore & characteristics for their hsr versions but theres still a lot overlap & connections:

Yueshi's name translates to 'lunar eclipse' which is a reference to Korvin being a member of the Khaenri'ahn Eclipse Dynasty

Yueshi & Korvin are both historians/record keepers

Yueshi & Korvin both seem reserved and shy at first but are actually very stubborn, snarky and petty

they both have weird fucked up immortality bullshit going on. Yueshi is a Vidyadhara which cannot go through self reincarnation & Korvin is cursed Khaenri'ahn royalty. mara/abyssal corruption manifests in physical ways for the both of them

Sen/Ira & Sen/Dianran still have very similar found family sibling vibe, Ira/Sen have a lot more depth with the borderline unhealthily co-pendent desire to protect each other than the later

Ira & Dianran both have connections to dragons (pyro dragon sovereign/the vidyadhara)

Ira & Dianran are both very talented craftsmen with a connection to fire

the two of them also known to being very loud, hot heated & aggressive, sometimes becoming violent

Both Sen's obvious share the same name, element (ice/cryo) and also have similar backstory beats

They both suffer from extreme memory loss after traumatic events

Genshin!Sen started out as a fairly depressed &suspicious of other people, choosing to keep their distance but slightly aggressive but after their memory loss end up finding a happy and mostly fulfilling life than they never had experienced before, ending up outgoing & cheerful. after remembering their past, they have been able to healthily move on as a complete individual with more optimism about the future

HSR!Sen is more rowdy & a lil bastard of a kid at first and takes pride of being part of the cloud knights later on in their life. But after their memory loss they end up becoming an empty shell of a person who finds herself manipulated by other factions. Once remembering their past, they are nervous about returning to the alliance after the crimes they had committed. Thinking they deserved further isolation.

they both fill spymaster/assassin role for the seat of divine foresight/the yashiro commission

OK I THINK THATS ALL THE MAJOR SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THEM ALL..... thank you for letter me talk about them :) they are my pride and joy......

hm... i keep trying to think abt my oc sen and jing yuan but all roads lead back to dan feng...............

i like my hsr ocs so much since theyre all connected somehow:

dianran was an orphan adopted by sen's family but when he started displaying characteristics of an unknown branch of long's scions he was forced into the care of the vidyadhara

yueshi becomes his guardian of sorts. but sen still considers him her younger brother and ends up tagging along as much as possible so yueshi has to babysit TWO kids.

sen is from a prominent family of many high ranking officials & cloud knights and is around the same age of jing yuan. who ended up as cloud knight recruits together and has joined in on some of his training sessions with jingliu

so all three of them have ties to eachother AND the hcq......... i love them all sm

thinking abt my little freak vidyadhara who goes "well fuck these cultural standards, or whatever i wanna make swords & blow stuff UP" and asks to be yingxing's apprentice literally 5 minutes after meeting him

i think im gonna name him dianran, he was rescued as a lil baby & basically adopted by a human family within the xianzhou alliance (by my other oc, sen's parents) but suddenly developed vidyadhara traits making him one of the few vidyadhara that came from Outside the xianzhou alliance so the preceptors are very interested in him. he becomes a ward to my other oc, yueshi (a vidyadhara record keeper in an arranged marriage with dan feng) so that the preceptors can learn from yueshi's observations

he could Care Less about the customs of the vidyadhara within the alliance since he was raised socially as a human. he DOES end up becoming yingxing's apprentice, dan feng says it would probably be unwise to allow him to do so and yueshi immediately agrees right after (yueshi loves to piss the preceptors off in defiance for having to marry dan feng lmao)

this forces yingxing and yueshi to be co-babysitters and spend time with each other and poor yingxing is like bruh this is wack and rolls with it
