Talent Guild Leaders

This post is about the fairies and sparrow men who keep Pixie Hollow in tip top shape. It addresses the few canon leaders and why some of them might take on an older appearance. I do hope you enjoy the post!

Talent Guild Leaders:

If you are familiar with the Tinker Bell movies, then you’d know about characters like Fairy Mary

And Fairy Gary

These two are known as overseers, or leaders of their talent guilds. In the book “The World of Fairies: At the Dawn of Pixie Hollow” it stated that sometimes a leader will emerge, who excels in leadership and organization. It is worth mentioning that compared to the other fairies is that they seem older and had different body shapes then any of the other fairies in Pixie Hollow (except for Dewey). It begs the question on if they came to Pixie Hollow this way or if they somehow matured when they were given the role of talent-guild leader. It could also be a design choice, since an older character could be considered more of an authority figure then a young adult. And though she hasn’t been given the title, it’s pretty safe to say that Fira is also a leader of her talent guild.

Since she excels in organizing and leading her guild and she already delegates tasks to her talent guild members. However, unlike the other talent guild leaders, she seems relatively young. Maybe some fairies who come to Pixie Hollow, come for the specific reason to lead a talent guild, thus appear older. And maybe other fairies just assume the role of leadership and keep their youthful age. This could explain why Fairy Mary and Fairy Gary look different from Fira.

Their role seems pretty basic and something you would find anywhere. It makes sense for the guilds to have leaders who help them organize their work and help lead them. Though some guilds don’t seem to have any sense of leadership and the fairies of the talent just work as they please and get done what they can, like the animal-talents for example. Maybe some talent guilds don’t have a leader, but definitely need someone to take charge and help organize them. This might be where an organization-talent could come in handy.

Leaderless Talents:

This is Simone, an Organization-talent fairy. And if you read her bio, it states that “Simone is particularly busy at the change of the seasons, making sure the other talents have enough supplies and that they are all neatly organized.” Which sounds like a few things that Fairy Mary already does. Her and a couple of other Organization-talent fairies might help keep other talents organized till a member of their guild takes on the leadership role.

So in short, Fairy Mary, Fairy Gary, and Fira are leaders of their talent guild. Though Fairy Mary and Fairy Gary are much older, Fira appears to be younger. This might be because some fairies come to Never Land for the sole purpose of leading a guild and appear older. While others might just rise to the occasion and become a leader and keep their youthful appearance. And some talents might not have a leader, but hopefully ogranization-talents can keep them organized and help them out with whatever they need done.

Possible Talent Leaders:

Fern

Fern could possibly be the talent-guild leader of the garden-fairies since she seems to take a leadership role in the Pixie Hollow Games short. She is seen organizing her talent guild members and even seems to take charge and assign Rosetta as the garden-fairy representative to the games. Rosetta also doesn’t seem to challenge her authority either by saying she isn’t in charge, though she gives some other good excuses. So, Fern could either be the talent guild leader or a fairy who was in charge of the games.

Nyx

Nyx is in charge of the scout fairies in the movie Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast. Now she is only a possible leader of the scouts because I have a theory that she’s a special kind of scout. If you compare her and another scout fairy Myka, they’re very different fairies and yet they’re of the same talent. Nyx is more of a take charge kind of scout and will throw herself into the fray. Myka, on the other hand, scouts out for trouble and helps the fairies to avoid danger. Also, in the Neverbeast, Nyx saves a fellow scout from a watchtower collapsing. My headcanon is that there’s two kinds of scout fairies, ones that avoids danger like Myka, and ones that go up against danger to save fellow fairies like Nyx. So if that’s the case then there should be another fairy who is also in charge of the scouts, giving the scout-talents two talent guild leaders.

Dewey

Though he isn’t in a specific talent, Dewey is known as the Keeper of Fairy Knowledge. This comes with a lot of authority as it is shown that he even has a close and personal relationship with the lord of winter and is known throughout Pixie Hollow. It is also worth mentioning he has an older appearance like Fairy Mary and Fairy Gary.

Cleff

Cleff is a music-talent sparrow man. He’s also the conductor to the oceanside symphony concert. He’s the fairy in charge of the music-talents in the book Trill Changes Her Tune during the concert but it’s never stated if he’s always in charge or just for the oceanside symphony concert. It sounds like they might have different conductors for different concerts. But he does seem to have the skills necessary to be a leader so it’s a toss-up.

Leo

Leo might be the talent-guild leader for the art-talents. In the book Art Lessons by Bess, he is one of the first to Welcome Scarlett and introduced himself and his other guild members when Scarlett arrived in Pixie Hollow. Though after that he seems to take a backseat as Bess helps Scarlett out through the rest of the story. Leo could either be a talent guild leader, or just part of the welcoming committee like Clank and Bobble were for Tinker Bell.

Tome

Honestly, there isn’t any evidence that suggests Tome is a talent guild leader. If we’re going off the theory that older fairies live in Pixie Hollow to take on a leadership role, then Tome would be the talent guild leader of the Scribe fairies. He does take care of the library, and is stated in his bio to be very organized, like a talent guild leader. But whether that’s cause he’s a librarian or he’s a leader is anyone’s guess.

Rani

Rani might be the talent guild leader for the water fairies. In Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse, she is the one who organizes the water fairies so they could have a waterball contest for all of Pixie Hollow. She is also a dependable fairy and is asked for help by her fellow guild members in Four Clues for Rani. However this doesn’t prove whether or not she is a talent guild leader and she could just be very dependable.
