Sister Spotlight: Eve

The one that started me down this rabbit hole of a hobby. I wanted to take a break from gunpla and mecha models for a while, and decided to build my own 30 minute sister early this summer. Eve started out as just a bog standard Rishetta with the Evil Costume, but I later applied other stuff to give her more of her own identity. Such as face plates from vol 1. Set 3, and the teal hair from Hair Option set 5. Other little touch-ups include mismatched shoulders with only one armor plate on her left shoulder, the leg armor blocks being painted black, a Medawatch from the 1/12 gashapon medabots, and lastly leftover zoid decals to make her stand out more.

While the Type H assault rifle is nothing special to write about (It's the Kotobukiya one just painted green), I am especially proud of the dagger which I made by cementing the tip of a 00 Diver Ace sword to the handle to a broken Grimoire knife, and pinvising a 3.0mm peg into the side for easy storage.

All in all I'm proud of how Eve turned out. She's still probably my favorite out of the girls I've built, but that doesn't mean I love the others any less. You'll find out about them soon enough.

I don’t think I will ever be able to get over the fear and resentment of the fact that I will forever be the boring one in every friendship I make. Like, not only do I have to cope with the fact that I Can’t Do Things anymore, I also have to cope with the fact that everyone else Can. The most exciting thing that’s happened in my life is that I took a shower (and then had to lay down for two hours afterwards) - I don’t get to have fun stories or go out to fun places without severe consequence. I don’t leave leave the goddamn house. I spend half of my day sleeping and the rest of it in bed with about an hour to do hobbystuff every day. I have a boring life, and I’m boring, and not only do I hate it, it scares me to my core that the people around me will realize this and then leave me because of it

i'm wondering when my motivation for this digital diary will pass . . . and i don't mean this in a negative way, but all of my interests in the past have gotten boring over time

i think i would draw more and create more stuff in general if i had a specific space for it in my apartment, meaning a little corner in my bedroom with a desk, laptop, hobbystuff etc.

i don't even own a computer (･Θ･) i also don't have enough space for a desk in my bedroom . . . everything's too expensive anyway

one day i am going to own a super cool desk with a super cool and fast computer with a very nice cool mouse (｢• ω •)｢ and then i'm going to play wizard 101 on it and draw alot because i am going to own a super comfortable chair by then (which won't cause me backproblems)

⭕ A girl on Facebook marketplace place was selling 6 rolls of the laces plus a lanyard making thing for like $15. My ass was like "SOLD". I remember doing this in school... Don't remember if it was Iao or Baldwin but this shit was fun... And I was such a perfectionist. I used to do this one, they called it circles. There was a squares one... Then one that had 3 colors, 5 colors, etc. Fun and nostalgic. Elliott wanted this color scheme and let me tell you... i’ve been getting a lot of drafts into the queue and i’m still on a roll with that.  memes are also going into there as well.  i recently did some soul searching on real-life stuff and talked with my boss about it since it was work-related and i am feeling a lot better about a lot of things.  i didn’t realize how much pressure was there until it was gone,  tbh.  so,  hopefully i’ll have some more headspace for hobbystuff now.
