it's funny how i love tragic ships, but then ended up shipping aki with a character that no one expect to ship him with (at least in the western side of the fandom)
#himeaki is nice... but in a one-sided way#like yeah himeno loves him but also she had this selfish need for him to agonize over her death#which... is an interesting way of loving someone#and ofc aki loves her whether it's platonic or more than that#he does loves her and look up to her#but he's just too... struck up with grief that only until himeno's death did he realized he need to move on and cherish what he had#aki and angel?? i think it's mostly a product of what he experience with himeno#all of those regrets culminating into this... resignation#that at the very least he doesn't wanna see anyone he knows to die in front of him#and surprisingly i don't ship akiangel#especially after that reveal on angel's beloved person#the one human that he loves and loves him back#god that part hurts so much it makes it hard for me to ship angel with aki because of that#such pure feelings... and to think makima's the one cut it all away... destroying his first connections to humanity#but yeah aki and angel for me is platonic in a sense that angel is watching over him until his time comes to say goodbye to the life he had#and so now... you may ask#why ship aki with denji then?#well i only have one answer#snowball fight#that scene changes everything for me#that's the most tragic fight scene i have ever watch and i literally break down when i realized that aki stopped fighting because#he saw denji's crying face#saying 'i never saw you cry before'#like... that moment of vulnerability... that's what breaks him from the gun devil's (and makima's) control#and that's just so... poetic and tragic in so many ways#so... yeah#that's how i ended up shipping these two#anyway... so many spoilers here#tmi tag

Chainsaw Man headcanons
Aside from Powy, Power is also called Pow-Pow by Denji in which Power calls him Den-Den in return.
Aki is nicknamed as Aki-kyun by Himeno while Aki nicknames her Hime which is “Princess” is Japanese. They both get embarrassed whenever he calls her that.
Himeno sleeps over at Aki’s place and vice versa and at first, Aki was embarrassed seeing Himeno’s sleepwear of a gray tank top and panties before he got used to it.
Kurose and Misa broke up but stayed friends due to long distance and Kurose being too busy. Kurose is currently dating Tendo. Tomono and Aldo are oblivious to the situation.
Denji and Power stay platonic despite kissing each other out of boredom, for practice, playing pocky games. for saying goodnight and sharing gum. Sometimes there’s some tongue involved and some skinship but nothing more.

Chainsaw Man Daycare AU
Based on the Twitter post by cosie.
A Tokyo daycare run by director/principal Kishibe. Makima, Princi, Angel, Aki and Himeno work as teachers while the rest of the cast are kids.
Kishibe is an alcoholic who is used to the kid’s antics and noises. He sometimes annoys the teachers and in some occasions, the kids, by moping about his friend and crush Quanxi rejecting him because she’s a lesbian with 4 girlfriends. The teachers try to stop Kishibe whenever he mopes to the kids since they are still young.
Princi serves as Makima’s assistant teacher and while they’re both nice to the kids, the kids somewhat sense a sinister aura which makes them scared of them. The other teachers except Kishibe are also kinda scared of their presence and they try to get the 2 to open up during breaks and drinking parties without success. Makima tries to manipulate Denji into giving her his limited edition Pochita plush for her collection instead of using her common sense and either buy one at the store or online even if she has to sacrifice some money. Their fellow teachers constantly point out about Makima not buying it at stores or online.
Beam is Denji’s only male friend who always finds him cool to the point of weirding him out. He loves to swim and he is fit because of his training from his father who is a triathlete and his mom was a former competitive swimmer and currently a swimsuit and lingerie model. His mom’s job was the reason why he is usually shirtless and barefoot in class and his teachers always try to chase him, telling him to get dressed. He is never seen without his shark mask. His love of sharks came from watching sharks in documentary channels.
Katana Man or in this case Katana Boy serves as Denji’s rival and always gets into scuffles with him that the teachers always try to stop out of fear from his Yakuza family. He is friends with Akane.
Akane is a friend of Katana Boy and the mature one of the 2. She loves snakes and owns a pet snake at home that she sometimes brings at school. She usually gets dragged into scuffles because of Katana Boy’s actions.
Kobeni is an unlucky crybaby who gets scared easily and frequently trips and breaks things by accident. She is friends with Violence/Galgali who is an honest and gentlemanly kid.
Power is a selfish, boastful and a compulsive habitual liar. She’s a glutton who steals other people’s snacks including her teachers even though she has her own food. She likes to get dirty when playing and cries whenever her parents try to force her to bathe and she only gets in the bath through bribes. She is never seen without her devil horns headband and her stuffed cat plush named Meowy. She is friends with Denji but sometimes her closeness with him sparks debates between teachers and students whether they have a sibling like relationship or possibly young love blossoming between the 2.
Denji is a nice and naive boy who gets into fights with Katana Man and disturbs his teachers with his fighting methods AKA constant low blows coming from a young boy. He has a crush on his teacher Makima and on his classmate Reze. He is almost never seen with a limited edition Pochita plush which Makima tries to manipulate into giving it to her.
Reze is a nice girl who genuinely has a crush on Denji but sometimes takes advantage of his crush on her to make him give his limited edition Pochita plush to her.
Angel is a lazy teacher and a bit of a glutton. He tends to sleep when teaching the kids and when guarding the kids during playtime which causes multiple incidents and minor injuries involving the kids. He is good friends with Aki and Himeno.
Aki is a teacher who takes his work seriously but is secretly a softie. He usually gets annoyed by Denji and Power’s antics and pranks which he is usually a victim to. He is good friends with Angel and Himeno.
Himeno is a cheerful and caring teacher who lost her left eye in an accident. She has a crush on Aki that both the kids and her fellow teachers except Aki tease her about and play matchmaker to push the 2 together.

Angel/Power: *walks towards them* I'm glad you asked. As I see it, there is a simple solution. Your lips had a dalliance with the lips of another man. It seems only logical that to restore balance to the relationship, *points at Aki/Denji as he/she approaches him* you should find another man/woman and dally with him/her. And by dally, I mean some hardcore mouth on mouth action.
Himeno/Reze: Okay, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
Aki/Denji: Actually, I think he/she is onto something.
Himeno/Reze: Y-you can't be serious. 'Cause I messed up and made out with a guy, you're gonna do the same with a random guy/girl?
