Losing my tattoo virginity

During August I visited Barcelona and after deliberating what tattoo to get for over six months, I decided to get the white rabbit. If you are deciding whether it is right for you, read about my experience below!

Did it hurt???? - The answer is yes. Unless your pain threshold is absolutely through the roof, then of course someone repeatedly sticking a needle into your skin is going to hurt. However, it is so bearable and sooooo worth it. I would describe it as a scratching pain that sort of drags up; however, it stops almost as quickly as it begins. I’ve had my cartilage pierced twice, and my nose, I can easily say that a tattoo is only a tiny fraction of the pain of a piercing. Of course, it is going to hurt more depending on which part of the body you choose. However, people always go on about how the rib is one of the most painful places because the skin is super thin there. I suppose mine might not have hurt to bad because it is fine line and minimalist. I think if you are going to have shading it will hurt a little more. Seriously though, do not opt out of getting one because you’re worried about the pain -  It is a little piece of art that is on you for life!!!!! I am so in love with my rabbit!

How long did it take???? - The actual needle part of my tattoo took about an hour, with no breaks (this doesn’t include the artist drawing it up and printing it onto me). It went super quickly though! I was lay down, super comfy and spent the majority of the time looking around at the artwork on the walls that the artists had done - check out @subliquidaproject​ @ingahannarr​ (both artists at the place where I got my tattoo)

Where did I get it done???? -  I got my tattoo done in Barcelona at Meatshop Tattoo. I did some research and it had really good reviews and sick artists. Jenny did mine (instagram @hey.norte) and she actually did one of her own hand drawn designs on my ex boyfriend too. If you happen to be in Barcelona, go check it out. The shop itself is so cool, with loads of their own artwork on the walls and they speak super fluent English - I wish it was nearer so that I could go there for my next one lol (Advice - look up where you want to go before hand, my research paid off and I could not be happier).
