Silly thing. I was thinking about magical girl rick. Inspired by the pretty cure franchise. Explanation of elements + sketches of mascot Morty under the cut!

Magical talking dog + voice of concern lmao. They get their magic from their friendship, symbolized by the yellow crescent moon on Mortys collar and Ricks earring(its rlly tiny and easy to miss). I figure since in canon their brain waves "cancel out" or whatever, that a lot of Ricks magic is stealth/invisibility based. Plus transportation, obviously.

Okay so wanted to keep blue+green color scheme, but i had to add some yellow in for our buddy Morty.

Ricks cape is his coat, so I did a white version, but i liked how the dark one looks too so i added both here.

Circles by his hair is a reference to planets(bc space theme) AND the like, bubbles when cartoon/anime characters get drunk. His corset is gridded to allude to like, the physics and math textbooks with the gravity well visuals on the front ya know. Floaty bracelets+cuffed thigh high boots+unnecessary belt for a little bit of retro futurism.
