a;flkjadfsasfd before arriving in montana? eeeeeeh depends. she's hung around the older parts of new orleans enough to encounter weird shit she couldn't explain, generally believes in ghosts, and is somewhat superstitious. but it isn't until she starts losing it that she starts actually seeing (what she thinks) are ghosts. she starts seeing apparitions of john after she's unable to save him. she also sees an apparition of her father (who she argues with and thinks might actually have been the Devil) and her mother (who she thinks might actually have been God) appears to her right before she gives in and hands herself over to jacob/the cult :')
buuuuuuuut....whether those apparitions are actual ghosts or just hallucinations induced by bliss/her own mental illness is...unclear :)c

i mean. syb doesn't sleep much, and when she has to, she really can do it just about anywhere, doesn't matter how uncomfortable. couches. chairs. caves. foxholes. cages. nasty ass cots tucked into the corner of a war-room deep in the heart of enemy territory....tbh the weirdest place she sleeps is her own damn bed.

ooohhhh yeah. the girlfriend she had before joining the army did a number on her. she was fully convinced that someday she was going to marry that girl (you know...when gay marriage was eventually made legal). but the day she was going to ship out overseas she got dumped. her gf didn't want to be an army wife. didn't want to spend months on end just waiting for syb to come home. which like. syb (eventually) understood, but the timing of it was fucking brutal because after being dumped, syb really had no reason to return stateside and just threw herself into her military career.

no, she hasn't and she really doesn't believe in the supernatural, but whenever she feels like having a bit of fun (mostly with the boys, tilly, abigail, mary-beth, and karen (also herr strauss) are all in on the joke) she likes to tell some of the german fairytales that don't get translated into english and pretends that they all happened to her or to friends of her's.

by her standards, the hayloft of a barn and in the baggage car of a train are the two weirder (and most uncomfortable) places she's slept. most of the weird places she's slept were when she was fleeing europe to escape her abusive fiance

only because the man she falls for is doomed by the narrative :') she's heartbroken when arthur dies and subsequently leaves the van der linde gang once things start fracturing. she really doesn't have a reason to stay and she ends up becoming a school teacher in colorado.
