Why is Galacta Knight "the strongest warrior in the universe" but be beaten quite often and why is he implied to be a hero of yore if he was stated to actively destroy planets and be a threat?
Well what if...
HC time.
What if... It wasn't actually that way. What if Galacta Knight was just a good warrior and nice dude, but messed up once. What if it was propaganda and generational lies.
Here me out, maybe it was like the Ancients were looking for a reason to banish him, and this one little slip up gave them a reason. Because why would you banish the guy who's super powerful and just saved your assess? Unless you wanted to invoke fear, get rid of something more powerful than you, and gain respect.
People don't like it when stuff is more powerful than them, they really don't. But Galacta likely had the people's favor until they were all told, "yeah this guy is like a super threat and likely would kill us all, now watch me overpower him and protect you all."
Then after that you get false legends, shit like that, and you get to modern days where he's said to have been the ultimate warrior and is depicted as a planet destroyer so much that even the damn super AI thinks that's what he is.
"But why would he attack you if he was actually nice?" Well yeah, if I was betrayed and locked away for thousands, maybe even millions, of years I'd also go a bit insane.

The four Heroes of Yore!
My interpretation of them! Of course, Galacta Knight and Fecto Elfilis are on team. And also Dakufai and Worldia, the dark mage and a dragon of ancient times. (My guys are finally drawn)
They all were chosen as heroes since childhood, so they kinda think of each other as siblings. They had a strong bond of friendship and a strong hold on Heart Spears, the powerful weapon that keeped their homeland safe.
Each of them represent one element in order.
Soul, Heart, Darkness and a Dream.
Dakufai is based on a scrapped concept of final boss in cancelled Kirby game. Worldia is based on Landia (Well you know...Land...World...you got it).

So the Heroes of Yore
In Kirby lore, the Heroes of Yore are four heroes who teamed up to use the power of the heart spears to seal away Void Termina years ago. It’s heavily implied, if not confirmed, that Galacta/Aeon Hero is one of these four. But what about the others?
So I’m a believer that the Heroes of Yore parallel Team Kirby. And obviously Galacta is the MK equivalent. This idea makes our guesses a little easier.
A candidate for our Bandana Dee equivalent is Elfilis. They both wield spears and Elfilin, the embodiment of the good in Elfilis, shows that Elfilis was pretty kind prior to their capture. Elfilis also has some things in common with Galacta.
Both were destructive (Elfilis tried to take over the Forgotten Land, and Galacta randomly destroyed planets.) possibly due to something driving them mad
Both were “sealed away” (Elfilis in a capsule, Galacta in a crystal)
Both are considered the best of the best (Elfilis is the “ultimate life form” while Galacta is the “strongest warrior in the galaxy”)
Both were absorbed by Morpho (though it doesn’t seem like Galacta’s absorption was canon, Elfilis’s was)
Speaking of Morpho…
There’s a theory they’re going after the Heroes of Yore for some reason, but they could also be the Kirby equivalent. Both can absorb beings (and for Elfilis, power them up) and the Butterfly form might be a “seal” of sorts (though it’s way less restrictive than the others)
But as for the D3 equivalent… I’m not so sure. Maybe Void Termina’s bird-like appearance is a twisted version of the D3 equivalent, Maybe they’re from ripple star since having 02’s weakness lying around in your throne room is sus, but maybe we might get to see the D3 equivalent in a future game.

I'm not super happy with the design, but I wanted to try and come up with what I think one of the Heroes of Yore would've been. Anyway, his name is Dark Echo.
I wanted him to share a bit in common with the Dark Matter Brothers, though I wasn't sure if I should give him one eye or two. I decided that two eyes would look better. I also considered giving him a sword, but I decided to give him the Copy Ability instead. Overall, I imagine he's like a jack of all trades.
Anyway, while he shares quite a bit in common with Gooey, he also shares Blade's quiet demeanor (though that could also be because he can't talk). He was also a very curious Dark Matter, though he could sometimes come off as scatterbrained. He also had his selfish moments, which annoyed most of his colony.
Despite this, he was once one of Zero's higher-ranking scouts, but he left the colony once he stumbled upon a Dream Beast named Elfilis. Not long after that, he became friends with Galacta and Morpho. Needless to say, he disconnected himself from the rest of the colony once he became a major part of the group, much to Zero's annoyance.
He enjoyed Galacta's laid-back nature and would often join him during meals. He enjoyed Elfilis' company, as they could read Echo's mind and would communicate to him that way. And he got along with Morpho since just like Echo, it couldn't talk, so they were always happy to stop and smell the flowers together.
He was known for his undying loyalty towards his friends, as he was one of the ones who helped seal Void, but like Galacta and Elfilis, h was corrupted by Void, and at some point he attempted to destroy his own colony, he even caused one of his siblings to go blind.
He was inevitably killed by his own Zero, and his soul currently rests within the underworld. Whatever traces of his physical body that are left of him are no longer a part of him, but part of other Matters.

Galacta and Meta running away from his friends
Some time after sealing Void, the Ancients use the heroes of yore to capture and seal Galacta. In his last moments of freedom (and sanity), he takes Meta in an attempt to send him away to safety.
