#helmut accused lewis of performance enhancing drugs
Text
If you're hearing about what's happening in Austria and using it to be like 'Yeah Lewis' fans do that as well' I've lost all respect. Maybe Lewis fans do it as well, which is still absolutely abhorrent but a large group of women have reported that members of the Austrian crowd have been inappropriate with them (no mention of MV - though a large majority of the Austrian crowd do appear to be MV fans) and when a large group of women report the British Crowd, the Australian Crowd we'll say something then. It's funny how you guys pre-empt the stories of these women to be like 'oh well Lewis fans do that as well'.
Now is not the time.
It's time to listen and empathise.
#f1#its disgusting how nelson piquet being racist was so hard for Max#how we were the villains for talking about Nelson Piquet's slurs as opposed to other POC discrimination#why dont you talk about poc discrimination instead of using it as some sort of bargaining chip to defend some random guy#a guy who probably wouodnt have lost a nights sleep amidst the ordeal because guess what? he wasnt abuse for his skin color#its disgusting how so many women are reporting harrassment by austrian fans (a large majority of whom appear to be mv fans)#and using those stories to be like yh team lh do the same#maybe they do#but thats not what these people are saying right now#maybe use this time to focuse on the stories of these women right now#why do yall use all the crap that may put MV in bad light to point blames to everyone else#even when stuff aint even his fault#juri vips said slurs but lets not make mv and rbr the villains#but mv and rbr have incited racial abuse#rbr employees have been fired for racial discrimination after silverstone 2021#helmut accused lewis of performance enhancing drugs#christian accused lewis of purposeful crashing and faking injuries#these things are all linked but apparently were supposed to leave out what they did and talk about vips alone#they ALL did bad things#and you have to imagine that these ideas/actions are being legitimised by rbr#honestly im sorry for how long this has gotten#but NONE OF YOU have the right to twist the stories of those girls into something to use against lh fans again

no one hates max because he is a good driver and wins races. people hate him because hes used ableist slurs on the radio and refused to apologise, the team surrounding him are - to put it nicely - utter scum accusing lewis of all sorts last season, he crashed and ended up with his car on top of lewis’ head and rather than check if he was okay he said well that’s what you get and if these last few races have shown anything it’s that a portion of his fanbase are homophobic/racist/misogynistic etc and he won’t condemn them for it which in turn is enabling them even more. his sheer existence in this sport makes it dangerous for other fans to go and support.
quite honestly, this was educational to reply to. and i sincerely hope it is educational to read.
we’ll address this in parts and i’ll try to be as neutral as i can.
no one hates him bc he’s a good driver and wins races
truthfully, that is good to know, although i wouldn’t expect anything less.
using ableist slurs and then not apologizing
[x]
the team surrounding him making accusations
my knowledge may be lacking on this, i will admit even with the research. but as far as i know, max’s entire team is not made up of solely helmut marko and jos verstappen.
the accusations made by those two (lewis overplaying ‘neck-tightness’ after monza and using performance-enhancing drugs) are baseless and i’d even take the second one as a compliment because evidently lewis and merc’s brazil charge was too wild and glorious even for jos’s little racer brain.
and of course we have the classic ‘their car is too good to be allowed!’ (aka christian and every other team principal) but what’s new in that.
also if people would kindly stop using things other people say as reason to hate someone, that would be lovely. it may come as a surprise, but max does not have puppet strings on marko and jos, telling them what to do.
monza incident
"i mean i jumped out of the car and i looked to the left. and he's of course still trying to reverse, shaking the wheel, trying to get away under my car. so i think he was absolutely fine." [x]
no condemning the portion of his fanbase who are homophobic/racist/misogynistic
"of course, it is not good. all the things that happened, these things shouldn’t happen. i read a few shocking things so that is clearly not okay. i shouldn’t even need to say this – there should be a general understanding that these things shouldn’t happen. a normal human being should think like that and should behave like that." [x]
max addressed and condemned the abuse in a press conference and said he will speak out about the situation whenever asked. he also feels the sport as a whole should be taking more action rather than just himself as an individual driver due to the impact it would have. [x]
to me, max has always been in it for the racing and will be open about standing up against things that are wrong and that he does not agree with when asked. but also, i think he isn’t giving himself the credit he deserves when it comes to what impact he could have in speaking out on social media directly against the part of his fanbase that is abusive. of course it wouldn’t have as big of an impact as the movement of the entire sport, but truthfully i do hope to see him speaking out more on social media in the future because it would have an impact.
his sheer existence in the sport makes it dangerous
oh, the urge to say “lay off the dramatics” and leave it there.
but then. i’m not sure what else to say. so maybe i will just leave it there.

You guys lose respect for Toto about what he said but you're fine with Horner's blatant misogyny, yall don't care that helmut accused Lewis of taking performance enhancing drugs, or that he lied about Max's brake check, those are the things you're fine with.
But Toto says he believes RBR influenced Masi - which they did (Masi literally parotted Wheatley's words to Toto - he had Wheatley's words in his during and after breaking the rules) and it's "I've lost all respect", "can't believe he'd say that".
Please your people are literal liars, Misogynists, racists and ableists and it ain't even funny sandbagging lies it's literally "he did not brake test Lewis" - proven false by literal telemetry and lies that can get them taken to court like accusing Lewis of performance enhancing drugs. And you guys lose all respect for Toto. Pls this is just revealing ur guys' true colors.
Cause my team would never. My driver would never. My team principal would never. My team launches diversity campaigns, whilst ur team fires a member for calling Lewis the n word after Silverstone. My driver advocates for human rights in the middle east, is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, is a supporter of feminism and starts charities, your driver uses ableist languages twice and then says "not my problem", uses sexist language and ignores calls from Dutch Amnesty to speak out about Human rights issues. My team principal talks about how he'd like a female F1 WDC, your team principal believes that the only reason girls would ever watch F1 is because of the pretty boys.
And you lose respect for Toto 😂.
I'll say it again, this is literally just revealing your true colors.

Funny how George running to assist Zhou Guanyu is making you gain respect for him, and Lewis staying quiet after Abu Dhabi made you respect him. But your guy doesn't say ableist slurs for a year and suddenly he's so mature. Funny how George is a Tory and Lando is a gamer boy despite Lando being the rich white boy who probably went to private school. Funny how people hated Valtteri when he was in Mercedes (Not just toxic LH/Merc fans - a whole bunch of F1 fans just did not like him) but then he went to Alfa Romeo and suddenly he's a good one. Funny how Alex complained about an issue with his Redbull and all the commentators thought it was amusing but then when Max says something they go all serious - why won't you listen to the voice of a POC. Funny how Pascal Wehrlein was too high maintenance for F1 and then people had to come out and say they don't know why he has that reputation because he's just a nice person. Funny how Kobayashi's racing was Kamikaze style and just too aggressive but someone gets away with a brake check and running someone off the track. Funny how Yuki screaming into his team radios is aggressive and Kimi doing it is funny and iconic and 'Just Kimi'. Funny how 7-times champion of the world isn't worth his £50 million salary and there were talks of adding a drivers salary cap but then a certain RBR driver is worth the exact same and no one ever thought that a cap was needed. Funny how Zhou Guanyu needed to have a crash for people to sympathise with him because before they were all talking about how we didn't need a driver from China in F1.
So funny.
Edit: Funny how Toto saying RBR influenced the stewards and race directors is disrespectful but Christian saying girls watch F1 for the good looking drivers is true and Helmut and Christian accusing Lewis of purposefully crashing and faking injuries after Monza and accusing him of performance enhancing drugs is peak shithousery.
Edit 2: Funny how people use POC discrimination to defend their racial abuse defending driver and Nelson Piquet. Funny how people decided to see Zhou Guanyu talk about the discrimination he recieved and stayed quiet about it despite attempting to berate us for not saying anything. Funny how they want us to call out shitty behaviour but then when we call out their drivers use of ableist slurs we're the villains. Funny how people bought up POC struggles as some sort of bargaining chip to defend their driver all the while telling us that we're hypocrites. This one because of @holdmyhopeinyourhands and their anon.
Gosh there must be so much other examples of the double standards within F1 and the fandom that I haven't even mentioned. And ain't that disgusting, I have a whole paragraph of lists and there's so much more.

What we've learnt during the 2022 Singapore GP weekend:
Christian can accuse Lewis of murder and of faking injury after Monza "21, Helmut and Jos can accuse Lewis of taking performance enhancing drugs, Max can insinuate that Anthony didn't teach Lewis the aggression his father taught him and therefore Lewis is scared of him and Newey can call Max's brake check a 'silly mistake' and Lewis/Max Silverstone crash a 'tactical foul' from Lewis and apparently that doesn't constitute defammatory comments but the minute Toto talks about how RBR should be adequately punished if they have broken the cost cap as it is an unfair advantage and suddenly that's so 'deflammatory' and RBR should really sue. Nah Lewis should sue for that time Max publicly accused him of being a crappy sportsperson sending a legion of his fans into a racist frenzy leading to the removal of 200,000 racist comments.
Max can scream at his team radio (Which yh idc about that bcs what is he supposed to be calm this whole time) but like when Lewis and Yuki do it they have to apologise for being rude and aggressive to his teammate funny how all the Max stannies who used to call out Lewis and Yuki are now praising Max for 'King shit'. I see your double standards.
Also one last thing Re: RBR allegedly going over the budget cap. When you keep bringing up 2007 and 2019 to idk defend RBR like I acc dk wht u guys are trynna achieve like yh mclaren were fined in 2007 yh ferrari had an illegal engine 2019 but what does that have to do with RBR and their alleged breach of cost cap rules like I'm sorry but u guys are so good at making excusing, bringing up random crap that has nothing to do with anything when you can just take your own advise and stop talking about it before the report actually comes out. Because all I've seen is 'u guys should stop talking about it before the report' okay then why are you talking about 2019 and 2007 to somehow defend rbr, makes absolutely no sense because why are u defending rbr when it hasnt even been proven theyve gone over the budget. Like leave the ferrari 2019 and mclaren 2007 for if it comes out that they actually did breach the budget cap. Y u jumping the gun. Also this is like a habit of u guys to bring up random crap instead of either staying silent or admitting something. Man said ableist slur and apparently it's okay because Pierre Gasly worse a native American headpiece and Lewis said boys can't wear dresses 😂 maybe all 3 of those things were terrible things. Like I'm sorry but if it's just a rumor idk why ur getting so defensive and if someone didn't acc do anything wrong by saying ableist slurs then why are u so hellbent on using 'he's young' or 'it's his culture' to defend it you don't actually need to defend someone if they didn't do anything wrong.
P.s. sorry I kinda digressed at the end but the whole ferrari 2019 and mclaren 2007 thing reminded me that MV fans really like to pull out all the things other people/teams have done to defend their team/driver only to call us villains for criticising ableist slurs.

Still think about the time Christian made Alex cosplay as Lewis to somehow prove that Lewis did Silverstone on purpose. Like my guy Alex was trynna secure his future seat and yall made him do that. That guy deserves an apology fr because how you gonna make your reserve driver do that. Also apologise to Lewis for accusing him of literal murder and performance enhancing drugs.
Actually upon further reflection, it was probs helmut who told Alex to be Lewis for the day. The man's got a few nuts loose. Actually it was probably both icl.

Imagine thinking that Merc are villains because they might be trying to get the regulations to somehow benefit them.. Yall do kno who ferrari are right? Yall do remember that 'mr-i-dont-like-midseason-rule-changes' tried to increase the cost cap midseason and tried to 'any not all' his way out of a mid-race rule change. Like being bitter about f1 teams being f1 teams just makes you guys sound like you guys havent really watched F1 for a long time. Also its funny how Merc doing all this 'safety' drama is sus and a pisstake but actual rule breaking during a season deciding race didn't matter because someone 'deserved' the season or because someone was 'better'. No, they were equal on the last race and Lewis would have won without the breaking of rules so calm down. Also funny how this is Merc being villains even though they're doing what every F1 team has done throughout history. But Christian being a sexist misogynist is true and Helmut accusing Lewis of consuming performance enhancing drugs is just 'peak shitstirring'.
If you really want to talk about villainous/sus f1 teams let's talk about the team that called someone's brake check a 'silly mistake' and Lewis' racing incident a 'tactical foul', let's talk about the team that tried to gain sympathy by comparing the criticism their driver go to the racism their competitor got because of them, let's talk about the team that have accused Lewis of faking injury (Monza 2021 and the porpoising back pain), let's talk about the true villains of F1.
P.s. obviously none of these teams (including merc) are these moral angels but like you're really going to turn this into 'merc are just evil' when a certain other team has done more than the banter/shitstirring that is a part of f1 and have veered more into a discriminatory/racism territory. Just sort your priorities out. Because discriminatory behaviour is more sus than a team lobbying for regulations that benefit them. That's legit the opposite of sus, teams have been doing that crap since the beginning of time.
#f1
