Yesterday we were fighting someone who was on our side but we needed to beat up in order to keep our undercover status in tact, and our DM still wanted us to drop their hit points to zero, but to just flavor our damage as non-lethal.

I was rolling very bad attack rolls, and one of the only saving throw spells I had was Tasha’s caustic brew, which resulted in me being like “this is NONLETHAL acid damage. It’s hyaluronic acid. It’s moisturizing”. And then everyone started teasing me about it and it was very funny.
