listen there is a bunch of reasons why i dislike the velma 2022 series but the main one has to be that they completely disregarded daphne's upbringing n how she was overlooked by her whole family because she never sought out a path for herself from the age of 12 -_-
#my girl just wanted to solve mysteries w her best friends#like .. her family sucked tbh#which is why i think she cuts them off and talks to them much less.#it involves this rachel green esque arc where she just doesn't use the credit cards they gave her. she cuts them up!#also this is somewhat unrelated but like. daphne comes from an old money family; they have great influence on the community#daphne's sisters were all prom queens and some were valedictorians#they're incredibly well to-do which relates back to the idea that she needed space to grow in a new city! a new place! far away from the+#hectics of coolsville..#ehhh.

Liz: “Not a problem, Timmy and Wally are already playing in the back yard. Sugie, why don’t you and Scrappy go back and play with them.”

Liz: “Ah, yes those boys never could say no to their friends. Just as long as they come back safely.”
