smth about decapitation in media is just so impactful........ the violence of it the comical shock of it the removal of identity and individuality and sense of self. mwah
#it me#yeah alright ill admit this is a dirk post#homestuck#dirk strider#smth about dirk having a decapitation theme ties in w his classpect. prince of heart#destroyer of self. the head as the representation of the mind the identity the personhood#the destruction of that representation. whats a corpse without a head you cant tell one from the other#esp w the homestuck art style when you acknowledge clothes can be changed/shared then the only identifying features are their heads#heads that are double the size of their bodies in the og sprites#suicide also heavily ties in w the themes (destroyer of the self...... killing urself) but thats another post I think
