dude i swear no doctor who fandom "thing" annoys me more than the whole "five was like the exasperated dad to tegan/nyssa/adric" jokes. it's such a widespread meme and it goes diametrically opposed to my reading of how five actually is in his stories with his companions. how dare people have fun in ways that don't fit my narrative interpretations honestly.
