i still want to write out that big post re: warren's feelings towards his dad / his dad's arrest / how people treat him and his mom AS A RESULT OF of his dad's arrest because it really is a complicated mess, especially since barron never let his 'work life' come home, so while the rest of the world knew barron as one of the most ruthless and brutal villains in recorded history warren knew him as the dad who fawned over him and read to him etc etc etc and how it all contributes to what i can best describe as the emotional equivalent of frayed and crossed wires

but all i can think of is warren on the verge of snapping or lashing out because he's just a kid and he's hurting and he's angry at everything but before he can get mad at his dad barron just goes 'what's wrong, love?' and warren, who's been starved of affection and especially any paternal attention for more than half his life, fuckin crumbles
