the hautpostamt in dresden's neustadt district is a beautiful example of eastern modernism in the middle of a gründerzeit quarter. unfortunately, the building has been lying dormant for years, and there are always only interim uses instead of a continuous use and redevelopment concept for the entire complex. hopefully the time will come soon before the damage becomes irreparable.
