a/s/l: Powerplant
Remember the days of the old schoolyard? Remember when Myspace was a thing? Remember those time-wasting, laborious quizzes that everyone used to love so much? Birthday Cake For Breakfast is bringing them back!
Every couple of weeks, an unsuspecting band will be subject to the same old questions about dead bodies, Hitler, crying and crushes.

Song of the day: 8th
This next artist is somewhat obscure but I've really been loving some of his stuff recently, I hope y'all will too!
Today's pick is " Memphis " by Hasil Adkins, and that combination of facts alone would turn alot of people (even myself) off fairly quickly most of the time
Instead of being some boring, shitty country song, Memphis is a hard rocking, lofi rockabilly banger by a compulsive alcoholic, smoker and coffee drinker from rural West Viriginia. It has a strange aura to it, and Hasil's history adds to this
every single sound on it is played by him, simultaneously. The drumming, guitar playing and singing is all him! he became a one man band out of necessity, and the shitty recording quality makes the guitars sound surprisingly edgy and jagged for the era it was recorded in. If you like garage rock, psychobilly, any left field more rock n roll, primitive type shit i 100% reccomend Out to Hunch by Hasil Adkins

Let Me Be Your Band (2003)
One-Man Band Documentary. See what wows Bowie, tunes in Beck and inspires the Cramps. It's a heart-pumping plunge off a curvy West Virginian highway that leads to the infamous One-Man-Rockabilly-Wild-Man, Hasil Adkins. From Bob Log III, former bus driver turned punk infused Delta Blues band, to Washboard Hank performing on his kitchen-sink tuba.
